    Same. I've killed several deer and pigs with 123 SST that was only doing 2350 at the muzzle from a 12" 6.5G. Even got a great wound channel on a pig at 320 yards. That would be my choice.

    That's the direction I went. Hated the top heavy feel with the barrel being so high over the pivot point of the bipod. This solves that. Just wish it was green!

    FWIW I've had some Mountain House freeze dried stuff in my pantry for a good while. Recently went on a mountain hiking trip and took a few with me. Didn't even think to check the date until I was 1600 miles from home and several miles into the trail the first day. They were ten years old...

    Lol. I wanted to go the other way and do a 338, 375 or 458 WSM but it's just so much simpler to do a 300 and have all the bullets available and use my current cans. 7mm, 300, 338 would all be so similar in terminal performance it's kind of a wash. An animal isn't going to notice .03"
