    so I went with the second selection from @MDof2. Thing is solid and for 27 bucks I couldn’t beat it I’m going to add a second one for the LRF and call it a day!!! Might end up with a Ram mount should this one prove to be too weak but for now my setup is a practice rig at the range.

    Soft Case inside Pelican 1750

    I have one at home and can’t remember the name to save my life. I’ll snap a pic and get the name when I get home. I did the exact same thing your talking about. Ditched the foam and replaced it with a soft case. Fits perfectly end to end and kept TSA from rat F¥€king my gear!!!

    I’ve had issues with the Aircraft Simple Green causing discoloration of my ceracote. After a bath in the ultrasonic cleaner. Have you seen that on any of yours? It’s very noticeable on the tans. Only way I could get it to go away was to scrub it off with old school rem-oil. Just wondering.
