12 year old's first precision rifle

The RPR is a great rifle. I had one in 6.5CM and it was the most accurate factory rifle I've shot, right out of the box (.2-.3 MOA groups). Mags are cheap (Magpul), Ergos are good. Standard AR grips and stocks so you can customize it to fit any body shape. Easy to swap barrel. The price is...

    Cheap Compact Binocular

The Burris Droptine binos are really good. No they aren't Swarovski or Leica, but they're probably at least 80% as good, and like 20% the cost

A Brand New shooter: What should I be using for trajectory?

Get the free version of Strelok. Should do just about everything you want. What elevation is the range at? I bet a lot of guys could give you their come-ups for similar conditions and you'd be pretty dang close.

Left Hand AR for my son need help Stag Arms

I shoot lefty and have a left handed Stag upper and really like it, but honestly I have never had an issue shooting a right handed upper either. I have put thousands of rounds through military M4's and the worst thing that's ever happened is getting a little carbon/unburnt powder spat in my...

Hunting & Fishing Ultralite backpack hunting tents

I don't have any specific answers for you, but what kind of tent are you looking for and what compromises are you willing to make? I know some hunters that refuse to go into the woods with anything less than a 1500 sq/ft tent complete with mini fridge and microwave, while other guys are happy to...

Hunting & Fishing Please Rate what you like best: Mathews, Bowtech, or Hoyt

FWIW I'm a newer bow shooter (<1yr) and wanted an inexpensive but durable bow for casual target shooting and hunting, and after a lot of research bought a Diamond SB-1. I immediately upgraded to a Vapor Trail drop away rest, and an adjustable single pin sight. Now, I'm not a pro shooter and...

    Fieldcraft Field/Tactical/Combat Pant

I have a pair of those Carhartts and they are really good. They're cotton, so not the best for adventures into the wilderness or wet weather, but otherwise no complaints from me.

Has anyone any Stories about firing a Barrett ?

I have a few hundred rounds through a Barrett. The recoil is similar to a 12ga with slug, but with a longer impulse time, as there's a lot of movement with the barrel sliding rearward and the action cycling. After shooting a few mags the concussion gives you a sensation between your eyes like...

    Thoughts on ruger sr22?

Yeah, it's not a target trigger, but it isn't a target gun either. It's a great plinker, and is perfect for introducing pistol shooting to new shooters.

    Thoughts on ruger sr22?

Between me and family we've had 3 of them. One had a bad mag that wouldn't activate the mag safety, but otherwise they were pretty flawless. Fed and cycled a wide variety of ammo. Very accurate, and the adjustable sights worked really well.
