Rifle Scopes Probably the most asked question.... but I’m confused.

No. From 3.75 to 10.50 is 6.75 MOA which is 27 clicks on a 1/4 MOA scope. I think you proved the point you were making.

Rifle Scopes badger base/mount rings not aligned?

They are designed like this. The split between the top and bottom halves is above the center line of the scope body so the bottom halves have to be cut with a 'U' shape. If they cut them perfectly circular, you wouldn't be able to drop a scope into them.

    Gunsmithing Bolt lug grease

Yes, I bought the kit with two syringes of SFL-0 Grease and a bottle of FMO 350-AW oil. Very happy with it and I think it will last me a long time. Can't comment on the grease with hBN added. I just went for the standard stuff as recommended in the article I linked above.

    Parallax question

Based on my rudimentary understanding of optics, focus adjustment should not have an effect on parallax error. The objective lens assembly and erector assembly produce real images at the first and second focal planes. The parallax adjustment makes small adjustments to the position of one of...

    Harris bipod hight

http://precisionrifleblog.com/2015/01/05/bipod/ Half way down the page there is discussion of a "custom 7-12 inch Harris bipod". It looks like the guy cut an inch off the upper legs of a 9-13" Harris and used the springs from a 6-9".

    General Reloading Process?

I recently started reloading and went through a similar thought process to you. My primary advice would be to buy the absolute minimum equipment you need to get started. You learn things from actually reloading and may change your mind about how you want to run your process and what equipment...

Rifle Scopes How To Gas Purge a Scope?

I think the idea is to put the scope in a pressure vessel, apply a vacuum to it and then fill the vessel with pure nitrogen. You repeat this process a number of times and it purges virtually all of the moisture carrying air from the optic. Here's a guy who made his own...

    Tikka T1X

Thanks. Is there any chance you could post some pictures of the barreled action out of the stock? I'm very curious to see how the barrel is attached to the action.

    Tikka T1X

If you are taking a T1x apart and it's not too much trouble, could you please post some pictures showing how the barrel attaches to the action. Thanks.

bullet stabilization - where/when do you (not) see it

In his paper on stability factors, Don Miller stated that stability factor is lowest at the muzzle and increases as the bullet travels down range. This is because rate of spin decays more slowly than velocity. See the second last paragraph on page 5 of his paper...

    Twist rate and Bullet weight

A good read if you want to learn about stability is 'A New Rule for Estimating Rifling Twist An Aid to Choosing Bullets and Rifles' by Don Miller. This paper provides a formula for estimating stability factor. In Miller's formula, stability is a function of projectile mass, diameter and length...

    My Magneto Mount: Gen II!

If possible, could you post a picture of your mount fitted to a rifle with the stock adapter and a harris bipod. I've seen the pictures of the adapter on your web site but it's difficult to visualize how it sets up.

    What .22 zero

I think the most logical distance to zero any rifle at is the distance at which the projectile path will touch but not pass through the line of sight. The barrel elevation required at this distance is the lowest elevation that will ever be required. If you zero the rifle at this distance, you...
