    You got me on the barrel nut, though I believe one could mod their barrel nut to work with the bushing. As far as the hand guard, the micro system should fit under most if not all but the most slender hand guards. I haven’t noticed any real difference in weight but maybe I haven’t paid...

    No other reason than to equal out the numbers. I love the simplicity of the Adams, had the older style and switched over to the micro gas block, though the Superlative has been easy to adjust.

    I run both the Adams and Superlative and both have been great. I don’t think you can go wrong with either one and my next one will be another Adams.

    The firing pin protrusion is adjustable, not sure what issues he was having to cause light strikes. There are a few used ones around that can be had, just have to keep an eye out. I hope Marty does, in fact make another run as I’d be interested in another one.

    McMillan A5 Pillars

    The pillars are supposed to provide metal-to-metal-to metal contact from the bottom metal through the pillars, to the action. Basically sandwiched between the bottom metal and the action, and clearly yours do not. If the smith was supposed to install them I’d call and have a conversation.
