    Everything in my rig fits in a Camelback day pack. Mainly just in case of a breakdown in BFE. I've had the same pack way out in the desert & way up the canyon. It can be useful anywhere in-between.

    I'm shocked at the number of people around here that have nothing in their vehicles to aid them in any way. It was -20* here last week and there are times that the pass is closed for hours due to wreckage. If I'm stuck on the pass I'll break out my backpacking stove and have a cup of coffee...
