    Yes the Mason Dixon series. I actually was thinking of also doing the Geissele Gas Gun Challenge also. You will see me at the matches this year using my SCAR 20. Need to finish the AR for end of year and a varmint hunt with a good friend.

    Yes a SCAR 17 will break a scope in some instances. The SCAR 16 has not. I used to own a 17 and now a SCAR 20. The 20 is by far the smoother operating rifle of the two. I have not heard of any scope issues yet on the 20 and I doubt you will. My preference is the SCAR 20 over the Knights. I...

    Any one near York, PA have an AR10 reaction rod I could borrow? Just need to change a muzzle device on a barrel and I really did not want to buy it just for that as I don't see myself building another AR10.

    Handl is not the only one making an alternative lower. Handl used to make aluminum and magnesium ones. There is also Stryker Ent., and X-Products. Now Handl is questionable if they are even in business as no one has any communication with them in the last week and their website has been down...

    Yes the SCAR 17 can eat optics due to the design. It can be mitigated by using an aluminum lower instead of the factory polymer. The SCAR 16 seems to be fine. I have yet to hear of the SCAR 20 eating any optic yet.
