    6.5x47, IMR 4064, 123 gr Sierra or Lapua. Anyone using his combo?

    I use it in 6.5 CM, and since it is near similar, Varget and 4064 are identical in MV, slight edge goes to Varget for being tight groupings. I am using 139's though, no insane pressures either. Use it with confidence.

    Had two barrels that way. A BHW .308 barrel with a armalite mid length system, and a Criterion 6.5 Creedmoor barrel in rifle length. Nothing makes me more mad than when you get a barrel, not described which length it has, and have to order a gas tube in armalite length.

    It may just be the gas length of a Armalite system on the Wilson barrel. You might just need to get a Armalite gas tube. I have a BHW barrel cut that way, and all my platforms are DMPS style. Unless that barrel has a Armalite barrel extension, whole different story.

    Yes, a 16" barrel will do the job with 175's. Not much experience on my end with the 178's. I would pick which gave you the best performance in that rifle, then use it.
