    Range Report Can you make this cold bore shot? --Poll

    If I knew the wind was as you prescribed (rather than relying on my reading), probably 700. In that much wind relying on my reading it, ~550. My best guesses.

    My 300 yd 3/4in Group... Lets see groups past 100 yards.

    600y 9 of a 10 shot group (the 10th on the left put it at 1.5 MOA) R700 AAC-SD Timney trigger Re-crown factory barrel 5-20 SWFA SS .308 Match Lake City Military NATO M118 175 Grain Not as nice as a some of these 600y groups, but I was happy.

    APRIL 2013 SH Short Range Rimfire Competitions

    50Y TRC B 120 Not my best, but not too bad. Missed the cold bore, shot beyond my limit, hit a hostage. 100% on the numbers and group.

    New to bolt action rifles, need advice.

    I have been in a similar position. IMHO, your setup is certainly adequate to start shooting at 200/300. 1 moa is probable, 1.5 is almost certain with good ammo. I would consider a Savage and a SWFA SS, but that is just me. I am convinced that the Savage factory triggers & barrels are better...
