    You can take our 3.5-15x50 and mount it on a Remington 5R with .885" tall rings and also mount the 3.5-15x56 in the same rings, granted there is tighter clearance to the barrel, but it mounts up in the same rings.

    I'm just wondering if it is the perceived mounting height? That tends to be what I find out. People assume that the 56mm objective requires a higher mounting solution than a 50mm when in turn, the majority of the time, they can use the same height solution.

    If at anytime you feel as if something may be wrong with your new scope, by all means, please contact our Customer Service Team at (208)476-9816 ext. 201. The aperture is there but not overly obtrusive and does not change the overall FOV relative to magnification.

    What you are seeing was originally there and is visible between 5-8x. It is an aperture and is a design characteristic of the scope. It is not a mechanical problem. It is what some refer to as tunnelling on a Schmidt & Bender.

    Its .140 on the 15x and .125 in the 22x and 32x(when on 22x) That reticle sheet does not reference the 5-25 ATACR, of which is .110 in line thickness Nightforce told me so......trust me ;)
