    Critique my steel target design...

    I would not put the head on at all; lots of plate waste once cut. A iron worker friend of mine made me 6 plates out of 3" plate he had from a job. Free metal just payed for his time. They are square and work very well other then they weigh something like 60 lbs each. Rich L

    Its a nice Japanese matchlock form the Meiji period. The decoration is most likely silver and gold nuome but this example does not have a lot of decoration from what I can see.     The recess for the lug is deep enough. Its wider then the lug. The action does not rock in the chassis at all, it fits very well.
