    I’d add one or two more colors and make the pattern a little more dense. You can tear pieces from your sponge and use different sides of them when you apply the paint to vary the shapes of the splotches. Worst case, if you don’t like it, and it’s krylon, then you can wipe it all off and start...

    Are the ergonomics of the AI AX rifle vastly different than those of a Remington 700 in an AICS AX chassis in terms of scope height and overall length of pull? Just curious because I’d be buying one (an AX) without Actually getting behind one but have plenty of time with the AICS AX chassis

    Sponge camo on a scope.

    I sponge painted this scope with Krylon using bits of sea sponge as an applicator. I just tore random bits of each piece of sponge to create some texture to the pattern. As far as prep work, I just taped over anything that I wanted to protect and put cotton balls over the lens and taped the caps...
