    I put an inexpensive Primary Arms red dot on mine. Perfectly happy. If I was spending less then the Bushnell TRS-25 would be fine and a little more cash I would go for the Sig Romeo 5.

    Scar 20s step down barrel

    I believe the new 308 contour will be the same as the new 6.5. The twist on the 308 has also been changed from 1-12 to a faster 1-10. I will know more Monday when my new SCAR 20 arrives. Edited to add, believe the weight has gone from 11 to 11.6 pounds In the new spec sheets.

    Shim? Locktite? Or both?

    Regarding shim material. I see folks mention using stainless shim stock but am curious if regular carbon steel shim stock would be fine or if stainless is a better choice? I have both but a better assortment of thicknesses in carbon steel.

    So I’m clear, you use an expander mandrel before resizing? I’ve always used the mandrel after sizing and curious if I’m missing something or you have found a better process? Do you also run through a mandrel a second time once you have sized?
