    I don’t use much lube at all in mine. Especially when going into a match I will clean my bolt good and put lube on the threads of the shroud where the firing pin screws into bolt body. Other than that only lube I put on the bolt is a little dab on the back of the lugs. That’s it.

    Bolt lift is very nice on an Impact. This is one benefit to a trigger hanger system where you can try different hangers (move trigger forward and back) to kind of time the sear engagement, which in turn makes bolt lift and close silky smooth.

    I understand the price isn’t for everyone. But, When it comes to a custom action it’s right on par with any of the others. And, at that price it comes Nitrided. Your Right though when you pay that much you expect it to be flawless and I truly believe in an Impact that you get what you pay for.
