Silly question about Accuracy International rifles and MPA Chassis.

Why???? Because I love the features and stoutness of the AI actions, but the ergonomics of the AT chassis don’t really lend itself to a “great” match rifle. Now it’s a bombproof race rifle that has people scratching their head when they see it in person. I really do enjoy the shock value when I...

Silly question about Accuracy International rifles and MPA Chassis.

The ONLY modification that needs to be done is on the trigger capture plate thingy. You have to trim and radius both ends and then notch the side to fit inside the action screw pillars. I’ve ran this setup through 11 matches since April with zero complications.

Silly question about Accuracy International rifles and MPA Chassis.

Extremely easy to do. I put the barrel in a vise, heated the epoxy with a paint remover heat gun and it popped right off.

Yea I definitely lightened the 1st stage. If you increase the 2nd it in turn adds weight to the 1st. Out of the package it felt like a 1oz Shilen benchrest trigger. Now it’s an airweight 1st stage, solid wall and very crisp break on the 2nd stage with zero over travel.

Mine was super light out of the box too. I spun the 2nd stage screw in a full turn and backed the 1st stage out two turns. Got it at 13oz total right now with no over travel.

I lined up the mags and the tenon cross bolt holes to check out the difference between the AT “chassis” and the MPA. The balance point and positioning on barricades is so much nicer.

Strip the skins, put the barrel in a vise, heat the epoxy with a paint stipper heat gun and pry/wiggle the chassis up and down until it separates. Then I scrapped any remaining epoxy off with a razor blade.... done.

I have 100 rounds through it so far with no problems at all and the first match with it will be next weekend. To complete the transformation I went with a new 6.5x47L Krieger heavy varmint barrel from Keystone Accuracy and it’s shooting great!! The whole setup feels completely different and I...

The range sits directly behind a Church... you pretty much drive through their parking lot to get to the range lol... there's no shooting on Sunday before 1:00pm. After 1:00pm you're good to go until sun down.
