    6.5 Addiction (Swedemoor)

The only issue with the AW mags is they really don't seem to like the straighter Ackley type taper of the 6.5A. Same with the Alpha mags, you only get 7-8 rnds before it starts to bow the mag out.

Might also try jamming them 10 thou. Got a buddy that jams his .020 and they shoot pretty well. I'm jumping mine .060. I also am shooting the 105's in a Dasher and they shoot REALLY well with a light jam. Good luck!

    6.5 Addiction (Swedemoor)

This works with Accurate mags, AICS with the front plate removed, and the new ARC mags. It's on the edge but it definitely works. For people that want simple, this probably isn't the best direction, but if you want a significant increase in performance over the average 6.5 it's worth the trouble.

    6.5 Addiction (Swedemoor)

I settled at 2990. I had it up to 3150 but since everything is wet all the time in NZ I wanted a load that was good with wet ammo.

    ARC Mags

Does anyone have a picture to show a size comparison between ARC and AICS, AW, or Alpha mags?? I'd appreciate it!

After fireforming. It's liking the Varget and RL16, RDFs are just kissing the lands.

    6.5 Addiction (Swedemoor)

Your bolt face should be good to go. The 2.895 will be limiting for load development and you'll be close to maxing the length. I'd look at AICS compatible bottom metal. Alpha mags will only be able to hold 6-7 rnds because of the case taper of the 6.5A, the case is also longer than the .308 and...

    6.5 Addiction (Swedemoor)

I am running the CTR mags and they have plenty of room for the 130s (I am just under 2.9 OAL). Also the barrel was the factory .260 barrel that I had reamed to the 6.5A. I left the original stock on to keep the weight down and it shot plenty well enough for now. I'll probably go to a longer...

    6.5 Addiction (Swedemoor)

I'm now running a 20" Tikka ctr rechambered to the 6.5 A for my hunting rifle. I managed to take a couple animals in New Zealand with it last month and it worked well. I was running 130 Berger AR Hybrids at 2985 with .5 MOA groups. I think you could get to 3050 in a 24" without too much trouble.

    ReMage: Criterion vs Mcgowen???

I've got a Criterion in 6 Dasher and it's an absolute hammer. Haven't shot any McGowans but I've heard good things.

    Tubb T7T Trigger

I have one on a Defiance Deviant and I love it. It did take some fitting to make it work in a KRG but it is a super tunable trigger that can be set to single or two stage and breaks super clean. I also like that it was designed to work in dusty/real world situations. It's not cheap and might...

    6.5 Addiction (Swedemoor)

A heads up for anyone looking at the Addiction. There is a batch of bad go-gauges going around. If you have some, make sure you get them checked out before using them to chamber or set headspace. You can contact the guys at Accuracy Addiction if you have questions. Please spread the word.

    Tikka T3 Thread

Does anybody have a velocity comparison between the Tikka 20" and 24" barrels? I figured it would be around 120fps but would like some real world data if possible. Thanks!
