    What 308 neck bushing?

Never shot Alpha brass, but you seem to be in the ballpark. I’ve collected a lot of bushings for flexibility’s sake, mostly off of EBay, so look there and have a few on hand. Chris

Lyman 1200 DPS 3 needs replacing

Well isn’t this a bit awkward, lol? I guess I had the Turbo 1200 on my mind? Anyhow, the Dillon is still a solid choice. Carry on and thanks for the correction. Chris

Lyman 1200 DPS 3 needs replacing

Dillon CV-750. I’m going on 28 years with my CV-500 and only a slight bearing scrap, which isn’t anything. I never embraced wet tumbling. Buy once… Chris

Is this really what to expect from Lapua brass?

The extra case is cool, no doubt, but I don’t recall if that’s the case with my gold box stuff, as I’ve never bothered? My point was mostly that the paper boxes didn’t have as many dinged in necks vs. the hard boxes. I’m not going to die on this hill. Chris

Is this really what to expect from Lapua brass?

That’s not the point. It shouldn’t be that way for the prices they charge. I’m a guy who bought a case of 338LM from Pettibone in 2007, a Lyman moly kit and 1000 300gr. SMKs and sold them in lots of 50 on EBay at the time, since Sierra didn’t offer a moly coated 300gr. SMK. I even sold a...

Is this really what to expect from Lapua brass?

Some of those necks look pretty ratty and I’d be a bit disheartened when I opened up that box. Chris

Is this really what to expect from Lapua brass?

It’s funny, but Lapua never had this problem when they used their older, gold cardboard boxes. Must be the fact that there’s more flex in those? Chris

WHY are there so many RCBS Chargemasters for sale?

Happy CM-1500 owner since 2005, so I’ll keep it until it breaks. I recently looked at the Master, but they’re up over $900. Chris

    .308 Winchester

Remember, they’re called reloading “guides” for a reason. Everybody does things differently. Be your own ‘guide’ and err on the side of caution. Learn how to interpret pressure signs. Chris

Primer Pocket Go/No-Go Gauges & Case Mount Tension

I just use a Sinclair pocket uniformer and if they seat loosely, then I pitch the brass. I’d rather spend the time on shooting, rather than measuring the Nth parameters. Chris

    RCBS Match Master Powder Dispenser

Just a one off anecdote, but I bought my CM-1500 in spring of 2005 and it’s been fine. To be fair, some units had issues with logic boards keying in a wrong number when say…2 was pressed, but RCBS was quick to replace them. If they’ve massaged out the kinks, it ‘should’ be a capable unit, but...

Why reloading is the greatest hobby

Been there, done that and it sucks for sure. Also, one can of powder on the bench, at a time. Did that one, as well. Chris

Why reloading is the greatest hobby

I love it too and I’ve been reloading since 1995! Like most things in life, experience will make you a better reloader. Chris

Swaging primer pockets kind of sucks

Also, if you Google the Dillon SuperSwage 600 rubber band/string trick, you can get the rod to snap up/down with every pull of the handle, thereby eliminating some movement. It works. Chris

how much does a powder trickler help?

For years I used a teacup with powder in it, a sugar spoon, a Dillon beam scale and an RCBS trickler for precision rifle rounds and then I found God in 2005 and bought a CM 1500. Chris
