    My Sako fires the best also at 71.5gr of H4350, I got sticky bolt close to 74gr. At 71.5gr H4350 I was getting 2920fps out of a 24” barrel.

    Hello, I hunt with my .338 win. I actually have 3 of them. My favorite is my Sako m995 (trgs-s) And all 3 shot softer then my .300 win mag. It’s more of a push then a punch like the .300win. I used everything from 165gr-300gr. My favoret is the 230gr eld-x. Got my cow elk in MT at 890yards...

    Awesome, Glad to hear it worked out for you also, the 230eld-x is truly an awesome bullet. I did hear the eld-x like to be near the lands or have a 1/4 mile jump start. My gun likes it almost kissing the lands while yours likes a huge jump

    338 win mag starting load

    This is what I got out of my rifle, this is my first load development for this bullet and powder charge. After a seating depth test the groups got smaller. My max load was 74gr of H4350, that started giving me a sticky bolt lift so I stoped and didn't go further.

    Truck driver; try out the new 230gr eld-x, they shot awesome in all my 3 .338 win mags. This year I Harvested a cow elk at 890 yards with 1 shot.
