    The Fix from Q

Geissele uses a heavier first stage and a lighter second stage (for example, the SSA-E has a 2.3lb first and a 1.2lb second stage). The Fix trigger is almost the inverse of this with a VERY light first and a heavier, but crisp, second stage. I don't know the exact weights for the fix but have...

Yea, everything should mesh up. If it doesn't feel right, it isn't right. Just make sure you are using a plumb line and not some sort of "trick" to level your scope and always level it while holding the rifle as you would while shooting. But hey, grain of salt, pharmacist haha

    The Fix from Q

Look into it. Not wrong to just level the scope with the rifle, but I typically level the scope to my natural shooting position. It is 1: more comfortable that way and 2: more repeatable. ETA: Saved you a little research time (2min)... I'm sure there is more out there @Gotlag1789

    The Fix from Q

If you naturally cant the rifle when you shoot, the scope shouldn't be level with the rifle. Hold the rifle how you would naturally and use a plumb line. Thats level.... doesn't matter how the scope looks on the rifle itself. Its good seeing people posting pics/range reports (y).

So what exactly did your rifle end up liking the most? I guess since you were just chrono'ing it not a big deal but I start losing track when mixing groups like that. Did you keep notes on the order and location of the hits by any chance?

Very true on the headspace thing. Always need to check that with light strikes. The brass “shavings” don’t concern me. Prob would have never noticed if I hadn’t pulled it for the sake of comparison.

I have some of that (pic below is with somewhere around 400 round fed). I think the majority of it comes from those misfeeds, since the bolt typically rides over the brass in those instances. YMMV. I know you are using a 20 round pmag... if you get a ranger band, wrap it around the magazine...

    The Fix from Q

I put a ranger band around the top of a 20 round magazine and it is making a huge difference in how the rifle feeds. Night and day. I'd give it a try if you want to use 20s and don't want to spend the extra cash on the KAC. I've been messing with it all morning and i'm really hyped about it.

That’s just bad luck. I’ve used NF scopes on a lot harder hitting rifles than this one and I have seen them used regularly on big bore and magnum type rifles

Mil-R is a good reticle... I wish the mil-xt was available but I got my 3.5-15x50 for $1100 so I might have had a little trouble paying the extra 1k or whatever it would have required for that reticle. Shooting in fields that are usually pretty shielded from the wind at distances <1000y...

Yes... at the end of your pull as you are extracting the round/case... that flex you get in the bolt handle @Movistar

    The Fix from Q

Bc it looks cool... whats more important than that ?? I've also had 2 bind up on me while using the 10 round pmags so if neither is 100% reliable, I'll opt for what looks coolest and what pisses liberals off the most. I'm going to put a little velcro strip on the trigger guard and see...

    The Fix from Q

Didn't really make a difference. Fed about 200 through it and had 4 hang up while using the 20 round pmag. No real rhyme or reason

When shooting off the bipod, if you aren't supporting the rifle, it will rest on the magazine kinda making a tripod with the bipod + magazine. So if you are shooting from the bench, for example, it is easy to take your shot, drop your rifle into that resting position, and then cycle the bolt...

    The Fix from Q

The light primer strikes would really get to me and I think that is something that someone from Q needs to work with you on to correct that issue. I wouldn't put up with light primer strikes (outside of the surplus ball type ammo that they clearly recommend against). But have you noticed that...

    The Fix from Q

Absolutely... IME the .308 does a little better job at dropping them where they are (same round, same barrel length, same distance, different calibers.... pretty obvious) but I have never had a whitetail run more than 10-15 yards with the 22" 6.5 I used this past season. Shots this year were...

    The Fix from Q

I've always liked NF... I'm sure there are better scopes out there but I can usually find one in my budget and I haven't had one let me down yet. That being said, i didn't like the nx8 reticle either and went with a triji 1-8x, but mainly because I thought the locking turrets were kinda cool...

    The Fix from Q

This is how high it has to be to pull the bolt without folding the stock.. With how high some ppl run their optics these days i'm sure there are ppl that can do it. Its easier to just fold the stock anyways so doesn't really matter

Yea yea very funny. I couldn't remember if it could slip under there or not. I haven't paid much attention to it after sighting it in. Don't be a dick, AS
