    Bought my 457 with a 20. Replaced it with a cut down and re chambered Anschutz barrel 23+ long. Thoughts being longer barrel has less velocity variations and therefore better or more consistency in accuracy. Ask 20 shooters and hear 20 answers.

    Hey Walt... How did you come up with the Nu Finish? Is the Nu Finish is for the burnishing of the bore by the contained ceramic microspheres or.......? I know if you polish a rifle bolt it seems to run smoother afterwards.. Not sure if it has abrasive qualities...

    Seems strange that CZ would go to the trouble of doing the pillar and use poly..... Unless it is good... Perhaps that is sufficient if we don't torque to (@*&# out of it?

    I would suggest you try some more and different ammunition before making any further decisions. Perhaps something along the lines of SK Standard and Center X and a higher end Eley. You don't have to end up shooting the high dollar stuff but to truly determine the capabilities of the barrel you...

    If it were my rifle I would be excited as hell with the thought that the barrel will possibly/likely shoot well once the neglect of years of lead buildup is removed. Barrel might be in excellent condition under the "protective" layer of accumulated lead...... Just like unwrapping a present...

    That has to be wrong.... Their facility must suck large. I see 100 yard groups posted here with regularity of that size. Maybe they (Eley) are not being honest about their ammunition's accuracy. If it is true "our" posters/shooters are just better shooters than the machine mount rest that...

    The way you have shot the 50 then the 100 with adjustments in aim point only to keep the groups separated appears to me to be a great idea.... Sure changes my perspective on the (non linear?) size to distance ratio. It is much easier to look at the relationship of the 50 vs 100 group size...
