    Alright. I have a plastic tub that is about 12"x18" and only about 4" deep. I will dump the brass in there and spray the lube. The plastic obviously wont absorb the lube so it will help lube the cases as I shake them around. When it becomes really nasty, it will be easy to wash out.

    2.7 does seem short. I've loaded 168gr CC out to 2.905" for 2 different rifles with great results in modified AI mags. But yeah, you need to figure out your specific chamber on your rifle. I still doubt it would be a tenth shorter than industry spec.

    very interesting. did some reading and vid watching and if I want to use my fireformed brass I should be able to just bump the shoulder back or neck size the cases. Lee collet and Forster bushing dies seem like the leaders in the neck size arena. Thoughts on which is the btter way to go?

    Reloading .308 with 175gr SMK. Using my Wilson hex comparator I get a spread of about .005" in the cartridge length from one reloaded case to another. Is this consistent enough for a weekend plinker of am I doing something wrong?
