    Swage-It

I use one on my 650. I will set the Swage-it up and then I have a tool head just for prepping 556 brass. I use a universal decapper die, swage, then trim with the RT1500, then neck size with a tapered expander ball. Once I process all the brass I swap tool heads to my loading toolhead and put...

Who Still Loads on a Single Stage Press?

Redding Ultramag replaced my Rockchucker when when I went to 338LM. I also load on a Dillon 550 and 650.

    1877 shiloh sharps 45-90

I have a Shiloh long range express that I used to shoot BPCR with. Honestly the most fun Ive had in competition. I picked up a .22lr liner barrel for it and plan to shoot some local 22 matches.

    Bullet Weight

It depends on how far you are shooting and what your accuracy expectation is. If you are really worried about it you can use the odd weights as sighters and practice rounds. If you really want to drive yourself crazy get two comparator sets and sort them by bearing length too.

    6mm Creedmoor & 110 SMK

Try a really deep seating depth with these new matchings. Im finding that I have to do seating depth testing first and then ladder testing, and many of the new matchings like close to 0.100" jump

    Lapua 6.5 CR decapping?

Im pretty sure the Hornady dies are also a small pin.

    6.5 PRC vs 270 WSM

If you are really wanting a factory ammo option I don't know that you will have that with the 270wsm and Berger EOL. However, the 6.5prc with the 147eld is a factory option. Also the 147eld has a higher BC than the 170eol and both cartridges should be close in muzzle velocity.

    6.5 Grendel

26" barrel and muzzle velocity was trued on my kestrel at 2950fps. It destroyed Hornady brass in one loading. Lapua brass held up ok though. I ended up backing it down to save brass life.

    Muzzle break.

Muzzle brakes can cause more carbon build up on the crown of your barrel. And if you don't periodically remove the brake and clean the carbon off the crown you will have accuracy problems.

    1000 yrd Walmart air rifle

I bought a WAR Flex 30 cal, and one day when I have time Im planning on getting the 25cal slug barrel and casing my own 100gr spitters for 200yd+ shooting.

    6.5 Grendel

6mm RAT shooter here. 6.5Grendel case necked down to 6mm and then Ackley improved, shooting a Berger 105 hybrid at 2950fps. It shoots neck and neck with my 260rem or 300win to 1000yds.

    6.5 SAUM 150gr SMK (update) 3175fps

Today I shot a 300yd ladder test with the 0.110" jump seating depth. There was a clear node at 62.2gr to 62.8gr, placing 3 rounds on the exact same line. The next round at 63.1 was within 0.5" of the other 3, but I think I will be playing with the lower powder charges to save my brass some. I...

    fx-120i autotrickle question

I was thinking of making a box for the scale and trickle to sit in and then some how make something to keep the triller in place. Like setting recessed magnets into the box and a steel plate on the bottom of the trickle to keep it in place, or even gluing velcro to the box and trickle.

    fx-120i autotrickle question

"The housing is a must with some powders like H1000 and H4831. Even H4350 will clog in the factory housing from time to time and you’ll have to flick it to get it to drop, just kind of annoying. The larger hopper is also really nice too, the one it comes with doesn’t hold much." I wondered...

    6.5 SAUM 150gr SMK (update) 3175fps

I did my final seating depth test this morning. 0.110" jump produced a 0.183" three round group at 100yds. Next is a new powder charge ladder test from 61.0-63.0gr of H100 to narrow down the barrel node.

Yes the stock lock rings works, but I can not fit an O-ring under it to float the die in the tool head.

Anyone Running a 7 Mag to aMile?

Most factory 7mm Rem Mags have a 1-9.5" twist, which is a little slow for most of the new high BC bullets. I shoot 162-168 gr bullets from my factory 7mags. You will probably want a 1-8" twist for the 180-197gr class of bullets.

    fx-120i autotrickle question

I just ordered the whole kit with auto throw and auto trickle. I have been checking out the upgrades that Area 419 makes. My question for those of you who use this set up is what would you recommend as a necessary upgrade? The only thing Im really considering is the trickle base because I have...
