Apps that incorporate plug in wind meter?

I’ll second what @One1Bravo said. Despite the app developer being a Crazy Ivan and the GUI being a bit clunky, it is the best supported ballistics app that I have seen/used. It allows interface with different weathermeters. I’ve used it with both weather flow and kestrel/

    Kestrel Ballistic News

@Kestrel Ballistics - are there any future plans to enable KPH wind speed units in the Link app? KPH is available in the 5700 (and predecessors) but not in the app. Non-European metric guys (like us dumb aussies) use KPH a lot - and it’s both a pain in the arse and sometimes glitchy to go...

    What chassis is this?

Thanks gents. Appreciated. @leeb10 - yep, looks like it only comes as part of the rifle package. Hopefully that’ll change at some point.

    What chassis is this?

Gents This caught my eye over in the training/classes sub-forum. Pic thread from Alaska Precision Rifle AAR. Can anyone identify this chassis for me? Cheers, Justin

Any tech details/specs on the ATACR? Same locking turret as for x42 would be great.

Update on Applied Ballistics Kestrel model and Horus Kestrel

You need to download the zipped AB Loader software from the NK site and then install it on a Windows PC: Kestrel Weather & Environmental Meters It's a pretty basic interface. Most of the work gets done on the Kestrel, there's quite a lot to navigate through.

Hunting & Fishing God Damn Ticks

I have chronic lyme and the treatment I'm currently undergoing is a cast-iron bitch. Never been so sick. If you get a tick bite, you need to assume that the fucker has infected you with something. Treat early and you'll save yourself years of misery.

Advanced Marksmanship The lower the prone position the better

I battled with this for a long time, thinking that lower was better. I mean, it must be, right? Except it wasn't. I experienced some of the issues that Sterling mentioned, was canking my head and angling off and found the fatigue issue coming on too quickly. I'm of average height and pretty...

Range Report Ballistic AE .. what is it missing that you want..

Full metric support would be nice - the ability to change fields between metric and imperial in any field, on the fly, would be great instead of having to select either metric or imperial in settings. One example, down here in Oz-stralia, we use metric but still stick to feet per second for...

Gunsmithing What is the secret to making a 243 barrel last

^^^this. You don't need to lap the barrel again once you've run it in by shooting it. It's a Rock Creek barrel - which is hand-lapped by Mr Rock and Co before it gets shipped out. All that TMS stuff has done is increase wear. The only time you should use that stuff is in a factory tube that has...

    Upgrading or not . . .

I've got a Tikka T3 Varmint in 223. Great rifle. Shoots sub MOA with the factory tube with a couple of brands of factory ammo. I use it for varminting. Given Tikkas are made by Sako, it's difficult to go wrong. However, there were/are a few things I didn't like. I absolutely loathed the factory...

    Chronic Lyme disease

    Advanced Marksmanship Angle of Arc?

So, is controlling 'angle of arc' more a product of correct recoil management, or rifle design (caliber, barrel weight, stock weighting/balance etc.)? Which are we concentrating on here? I'm still a bit hazy on the concept, so as Graham said - a bit more concept definition might be in order, so...

    Chronic Lyme disease

Thanks for the suggestion Tom - but unless things get desperate, I'm not going to travel overseas for treatment. The cost is simply too high. Am on a holistic program here but am interested in the experiences of any other members here who have had/have lyme - particularly the mental and exercise...
