    Rifle Scopes Swarovski Z6 scopes...Durability??

Again, tactical scopes are a different beast compared to hunting scopes, different considerations, different mission. If what you care about is low light, Swaro will beat those listed above - at comparable magnification ranges and objective diameters. If you want a picture as pretty as Swaro...

Advice on a 2.5-10x sfp scope for AR10

The illumination system on the NXS is my least favorite thing about that scope. It works, mostly, but isn't as failsafe as the older on/off system. Adjusting brightness of that was a pain, but was simple in its use. The 2.5-10x42 also has some fisheye effect at 10X - or, I should say, mine...

    Aadmount Scope Caps

He can be tough to reach, but he will take care of it. My best success has been email.

    Rifle Scopes Swarovski Z6 scopes...Durability??

It is a hunting optic, to be sure; the question of durability was - I assumed - in that context. Z6 is nowhere near as durable as Nightforce, just looking at them side-by-side should make that obvious. I don't baby my gear, but I also don't intentionally try to break it in the field. If you...

    Rifle Scopes Swarovski Z6 scopes...Durability??

I have been exceedingly happy with mine, capped turrets, no issues. Their ballistic turret system has some plastic in it (have zeroed for a friend, didn't like the feel.) You get swaro for the glass, it is fantastic in hunting applications. I run several and love them, but don't run them on...

    Thermal clip on or dedicated?

Have run both, if you are chasing the awesome "catch-call" setup, it doesn't exist. I recommend you prioritize very very honestly, then proceed. I've run both, am doing clip-on this season; it all really comes down to what you want to do well vs "nice to have."

Night Vision The Official: Steiner C35 Thermal Clip-on Review and User Thread!

I've had mine in the field a few times now, works well as a scanner and even better as an actual clip-on. I've run mine mostly behind a 3-12 Hendsoldt only because it was the scope at the right height on the right gun (full length rail.) I'll put some time in after hunting season on getting it...

223 vs 223AI for trainer and predators

to clarify: OP asked about training AND predator hunting. I still contend AI is an awesome option: shoots factory 223 great, shoots handload 223AI even better. And every time you squeeze the trigger in practice, you get a perfect fire-formed piece of brass for smoking yotes and cats in the real...

223 vs 223AI for trainer and predators

Predator hunting is all about shooting moving targets, so the faster the projectile, the higher the probability it arrives before the target moves enough to matter. My go-to predator gun is a 243AI throwing 105s at just over 3k. I would have done 223AI but I wanted to be able to use the gun for...

    Clip on thermal/scanner?

Steiner C35 is a very nice clip-on and does decent work as a scanner. It is heavy as hell, but very well made. Features are awesome, image is great, no problems encountered yet.

    Tikka Experts-Opinion Needed

I have a Tikka T3Lite in 270Win, it is a hammer. It kicks like a 30legged ninja, but is very very accurate and easily my favorite stalking gun. As said before, if there were a problem, I'd probably resolve it myself. I bought it more than 10 years ago and it has been perfect for me - so much...

Best solutions for clip-on thermal on a traditional stock?

A quick update to the thread: Mounting a clip-on thermal in front of a day optic on a conventionally stocked rifle is a huge pain in the ass. Getting the height right is not an easy prospect, and significant deviations from centerline alignment cause image shifts that will require tracking 2...

6.5CM AR choices: DD5v4 or something else?

If you get an SP-10, make sure it is the newest version. Right after they came out in 6.5, they had some issues with extraction/ejection. I have one and love it (over-lube the bejesus out of it during break-in) and a friend got one that was completely unreliable. I sent it back to Seekins and...

Best solutions for clip-on thermal on a traditional stock?

Quick update, and musings, and stuff from Koshkin too: This thing is a brick, almost literally. It is blocky and heavy. And no, I would not mount this thing on the bell of any scope, and I have some very beefy scopes. Image quality is great, menu system is much much better than the Bering...

    Rifle Scopes Burris Eliminator 4

Sorry, to clarify: my comment was not about the Garmin, it was about putting Leupold next to Swaro in a conversation regarding optical quality.

    Rifle Scopes Burris Eliminator 4

That you put Leupold next to Swaro makes me question more than just this statement. I've run many Leupolds, I own many Swaro, the sentence structure just confuses me. A friend just bought a 4, I'll be setting it up in a few weeks. I have previously dialed in his prior generations. He loves...

    MPVO for a Gas gun

I run the NF 2.5-10x42 on a 308 gaser and like it for the application. It does have a fisheye thing at 10X that bugs me if I stay on the scope for extended times, but I don't usually do that with this particular gun. I don't care about the parallax, it isn't a long range gun anyway. The...
