    Another vote for Mega/Zev. Assembled several using Mega Arms MATEN. Seekins is also at the top of my list but have no personal experience with their LR-308 receiver sets, just a few AR-15 sets.

    With modern boosted DI engines, frequent oil changes, adding a catch can (e.g. Mishimoto) will help keep intake valves clean and doing oil analysis performed at change intervals are highly recommended. Oil analysis can be done for nominal fees through a company like Blackstone will also help...

    My vote is a .223 bolt gun. Here's my Rem 700 SPS Tactical and a pic of a few of the targets it regularly shoots. Factory barrel with an oversize bolt knob and fluted bolt. Black graphite cerakote on the factory barreled action.
