    AAC Tirant 45M

I have sent them a message but who knows how long it will take to get an answer. It really seems like a highly out of spec piston much less they sent the entirely wrong spring.

    AAC Tirant 45M

I just picked up an AAC Tirant 45M and the piston spring that came with it will not fit around a M16x1RH AAC piston. In addition to that, the piston itself has threads so deep/long that it actually touches the face of my MK23. I looked around online and found that a Silencerco piston spring...

    New Applied Ballistics® Quantum™ APP! - & It's Free!

Email and social post both said in the next week for the BOSS Synapse integration into Quantum, so I'm hopeful :) Thanks again for all you are doing with this tool!

    New Applied Ballistics® Quantum™ APP! - & It's Free!

Just saw the email from AB that it will be linking with the Tango soon. That is great news!! Thank you Doc and everyone at AB for all the work on this app!

Precision Rifle Gear Question on RRS Anvil 30 R-lock tension adjustment

Agreed ToddM, the lever clamp is MUCH more picky about the rail width. The screw clamp is far more tolerant because by design you are tightening as much as you want/need. It's kind of surprising that RRS hasn't come out with a screw knob version of the rloc. They have a lever/screw option for...

    Suppressors Form 4 wait time

Not sure what you mean by the "Silencershop way" but my last dozen cans and 6 F1s have all been done through SS simply because they already have my prints and it's easy. My approval times have been all over the board in the last 4 months. Had a couple come back in just a couple of days, my...

    New Applied Ballistics® Quantum™ APP! - & It's Free!

Makes sense. I honestly didn't expect the phone to send weather data to the watch. Just that I had noticed that if I had a kestrel attached at some point, the watch app didn't zero back out after some amount of time, it kept the original environmental information. Which made my DOPE off from...

What is ATF wait time for a suppressor?

I got my 2 oldest back yesterday, still waiting on the most recent to get approved. But even that one was certified on 2/25, so over a week. It is so unbelievably better than it used to be, but still zero rhyme or reason to the approval timings.

    New Applied Ballistics® Quantum™ APP! - & It's Free!

I've noticed that if I had a kestrel connected to the watch, that the watch AB remembers those environmental values, especially the wind. Regardless of what the phone app says. I zeroed out the wind value in both the app and the watch and then my range card values matched.

What is ATF wait time for a suppressor?

They are much faster for sure. My first can many years ago took 14 months. I got spoiled with the 2 - 3 day approvals of just a couple of months ago. Just wish there was some form of tracker to see where the hold up was.

What is ATF wait time for a suppressor?

It really makes zero sense on the timing of any of these. The first 2 I put in a couple of weeks ago I'm still waiting on. All of the 3 that have been approved were put in after 2 that I am still waiting on. Zero rhyme or reason.

What is ATF wait time for a suppressor?

I'm getting the feeling that the ATF is throttling approvals for people now. I haven't heard of any recent batch approvals. I'm waiting on 3 of 6 put in within about 2 weeks. I've gotten 3 approvals back in the last week but not all together. 1 last Tuesday, 1 last Friday and 1 on Monday of...

Hearing protection active muffs in 2025

I think I’ve tried all of the big names over the last 20+ years. I’ve settled on the ops core with the NFMI plugs. The sound reduction is amazing, the plugs give you the extra protection you need but still allow you to hear talking/range commands. I like that you can switch them between...

    New Applied Ballistics® Quantum™ APP! - & It's Free!

Yes sir. The Descent is not native AB but it can be unlocked/added. Which is what I did. If I jump through a bunch of hoops of uninstalling and reinstalling, removing the watch from the phone and re-adding will show up as available for Quantum but after a couple of weeks it goes away and I have...

    New Applied Ballistics® Quantum™ APP! - & It's Free!

Got a Tactix 8 and it works in Quantum without issue. It really does seem that Quantum just randomly ignores any non Garmin Tactix/Foretrex device even if AB is unlocked on it.

    New Applied Ballistics® Quantum™ APP! - & It's Free!

I got the Kestrel to pair finally, but still no luck on the Descent. I did send in a service ticket yesterday from the app. Thank you Doc for taking the time to reply on here!

Precision Rifle Gear Tango Innovations FIRE4000 WMLRF Initial Impressions

OK, update to my issue at least. The Kestrel will NOT accept any range information inside of 100 yards from the Fire4000. Going off what you had said skyewalker, I tried connecting to the BOSS app just to see what it would do. It connected just as expected to BOSS. While still in the BOSS...

Precision Rifle Gear Tango Innovations FIRE4000 WMLRF Initial Impressions

It's set to Device. It won't even show the connected if it's on PC/Mobile. I'm not super concerned about changing the profiles, I was using it more for a test to see if communication was actually happening and it doesn't seem to be. Even though both devices show the connected icon, there...
