    Proof has a pretty extensive weights list on their website. Maybe they lose a TINY bit when chambered, or the barrel extension adds a TINY bit, but it gives you a pretty good idea.

    Why not just run your DTA with a 22" barrel and the longer handguard? I love my Tikka, and I've never had the coin for a Desert Tech, but it seems like a downgrade to me.

    6.5 "Shorty" Rifle build

    Looks like the "cool kids" over at Gunwerks think a 16.5" hunter is a viable idea. Mine's at the smith, I'm soooo excited for it to be done! I think mine will be a fair bit lighter and about $7000-$8000 dollars cheaper.
