    I don't neck size, and will never neck size again. I have done it in the past with varmint rifles, but sizing the brass in the chamber sucks, and doesn't offer any benefits. Are your necks too thick? This could cause buckling of the shoulders. Are you trimming your brass? Brass may be too long...

    Lol... You aren't going to have any matches to shoot before long because directors won't be setting them up for five Shooters. I plan on shooting local matches, and keeping nthe money localish this year. I'm not traveling to shoot.

    Can you use a AR-15 for long distance shooting Comp?

    I did that a couple of years ago at a club match. I shot my mod0, and did really well. It sucked for the 800+ yard targets with 77 TMKs, but anything within that was golden.

    Rifle. Cleaning

    On my match gun, I use carbon cleaner after every match, rubbing alcohol in the trigger tech and bore afterwards. Other rifles, probably 300-600 rounds. I only clean copper when the gun tells me it needs it.

    Just out of curiosity, how are you getting more velocity out of a case with less capacity? I'm assuming similar barrel lengths, and powders driving the same bullet. I own, and have owned, many 220 Swifts and 22-250s, and the only things the 22-250 does better is being sold in every gas station...

    Agreed on all points. Unfortunately, we need the suits. They have the connections, the invitations. They can rub elbows and grease palms that none of us will ever have access to. We will always need suits inside the beltway to do our bidding because that's the way the game is currently played...

    It has been "known" for years in reloading circles that Federal brass is softer than other brass. Couple that with having ten loads on the brass, and you simply have loose primer pockets, which I am betting happens around peak pressure. You also have to consider the internal volume case head...

    Yeah I'm with you along with what I wrote above. I can do the exact same thing at a one day match that I can do at a two day without having to pay for fuel, hotels, exorbitant match fees, days of travel, and spending time with my family (this will become more important in the very near future)...

    Crimp or no crimp for precision 300 blk?

    I don't crimp for anything but pistols and big bore revolver rounds. No need to, and crimping doesn't help for accuracy. I don't even crimp for any of my gas guns, no need.

    Yeah the dot stays small enough at high magnification for precision, but I've only had it up to 35x a few times playing around or looking for mirage.
