Night Vision Trijicon IR hunter or Snipe IR

I've been trying to decide on a thermal. I was looking at Pulsars first , then was afraid I'd waste $2-$4000 grand and not be happy and be able to recover my money. I thought the IR hunter 35mm would be great, then started looking at the Snipe IR in case I ever wanted to use it as a clip on or...

    224 Valkyrie 1 year later

Mine is 24" 6.5 twist and the first batches of federal I tried last summer got me 2749 for gold metal 90s. 3064 fps for the 75 gr TMJ, 3315fps with the 60gn varmint Ammo and 2714 fps with the Hornady 88s when they finally came out. My hand loads with RE17 are pushing 90s at 2730 and 95s at...

    224 Valkyrie 1 year later

No growing pains for mine. Solid 5/8"-3/4" MOA with factory federal. Solid 1/2" with RE17 and either 90 or 95 SMKs out of a Shilen select match barrel. Mine was easy to find a good load for. I think cheap inferior parts are part of people's Valkyrie problems.

Rifle Scopes 22LR Benchrest Shooters - Scope Recommendations

The 10-60 March would be fine for a full blown BR rig. With the rifle you described the weaver T36 would work fine, they do very good for the money. Also the NF BR scopes work well, I used one for over 15 years, it's on a 40X now. The rifle I'm using now is a Stiller Trident action with a...

Rifle Scopes 22LR Benchrest Shooters - Scope Recommendations

The vast majority of 22 BR shooters use 36x on the low end. The field is filled with nightforce compition or Nightforce BR, a few march, leupold compitions, a few sittron and the old cheap sleeper the 36 weavers that can be had for under $400. This is for sanctioned ARA, and unlimited IR...

Rifle Scopes New developments at PA

$1500 for the platinum line. Not far off the price of proven performers. At $1000 I still don't think I'd bite. In all fairness, I felt the same about the Razors when they came out only $500 less than nightforce.

Rifle Scopes Decent rings for $100 or less?

Nothing wrong with the Burris signature tings with inserts. I've got at least ten scopes mounted in them and have never have an issue. I also like the fact that they don't leave ring marks on expensive scopes.

Rifle Scopes Vortex Razor worth the money?

Gen one and two, and I like both.

Rifle Scopes Safran Vectronix Not Making it Right: I STAND CORRECTED!

You are correct in the bad reviews with bo tach. I was a little worried after reading them, so I opted for two day shipping to cut through the bull and not give them any room for excuses. I did have to call when I didn't get tracking info the first day, and explained that I payed for two day...

Rifle Scopes Safran Vectronix Not Making it Right: I STAND CORRECTED!

The glass is very good. I've ranged the back side of angled stop signs out to 1900. Mine returns on dirt berms out to 2200 or so. I haven't been in a place where I could try it between 2200 and 2700. Most of my shooting is only just past 1000 and under. It will return off nearly anything at...

Rifle Scopes Safran Vectronix Not Making it Right: I STAND CORRECTED!

I'm glad I didn't buy one now. I had one in my cart several times. I also heard the stories of them not repairing the old units and that spooked me off. I just went 2700B, it's more than enough me anyway.

    .224 Valkyrie

The MTM boxes for 22-250 and 7.62x39 work well, I got four of the 50 rounders from Amazon.

    .224 Valkyrie

I shot my 95 grain loads last weekend from 500 to 1000. They are 26.2 RE17 and going 2649 fps. I was very pleased, they shoot a solid 1/2" at 100. The wind was really bad switching then sudden let ups. We got some good first round hits, also some misses, but most were wind age. My longest first...

    .224 Valkyrie

The best load I have so far is 26.2 of RE 17 and the 95 SMKs. They are holding 1/2" or a bit less over several five shot groups. 2649 fps. Win 760 seems to be a good powder also with the heavys.

Rifle Scopes NEED HELP CHOOSING RINGS! PLEASE!

Yea no dump. I have at least 8 sets of these and they work great, no slip, no scars or marks of any kind and lots of adjustment for factory drilled actions that can be off center. You can also use the zero zero inserts and have no cant. I guess they are to cheap to be good.

Sig Sauer - KILO3000 BDX LASER RANGEFINDING BINOCULARS

I wish some would get out to testers so we would know if they are worth waiting on. I'm still using my old Gen 1 geovids and would like something with longer range than the 1290yds I get out of them. I was interested in the sigs because being 1/2 price of the new geovids. Also considering...

I tried to buy one, then when checking out, it said shipping not available. They must operate like Optics planet and sell things they done have.

    questions/advice on improving accuracy

I've had stray shots caused by the rifles "natural point of aim" forcing to much left or right into the rear bag and twisting on the bipod VS moving the front of the rifle a bit. Also, make sure each shot surprises you when it goes of. If you force the shot when you think your centered, there's...
