    Jury Duty

I don't do either. I don't like to but I'm not willing to lie to get out of it. I have served twice in my life. At the time my company would let us off with pay so there was no hardship in serving. And yeah, there are some stupid ass people on juries!

    Another indicator of collapse…

Yeah, its mineral oil and is probably about 10 weight. We used to have a trucker that delivered transformers that always ask about us transformer oil. He would put 25 to 50 gallons in each sale tank.

Mini Fridge | House Fire warning.

Wow, glad you and your family were not injured. It sounds like you are being well taken cared of by your insurance company. When we recently moved I down graded my beer fridge from a commercial single door unit to a smaller compact refrigerator. I paid a stupid high price for a commercial grade...

    Another indicator of collapse…

Retired Electrical Lineman here. I don't remember what a 50KVA pad mount transformer weighs but one of them will squat a 1/2 ton pickup. You won't be picking it up by hand! Whats inside of one? About 2/3rds of it is a sealed area full of the windings and oil. You mostly will have a feeder cable...

    The true test......

I'm about half crippled and spend a lot of time sitting in the car waiting on the Wife to shop. I let Her out at the front door and drive out to the far reaches of the parking lot to wait on Her to text that She's ready. So I get to observe lots of behavior. I've seen the Elderly, the partly...

    Maggie’s Motivational Pic Thread v2.0 - - New Rules - See Post #1

Yeah, I miss it too! Retired after nearly 35 years. Yes, its a good feeling when you're out on a dark country road and close a switch in and see lights come on across the field after working several hours in whatever kind of weather. I never wake up at night during a storm that I don't whisper a...

    Which Non Cellular Game Camera?

I've had expensive ones and cheap ones. I buy the cheaper ones now. Usually something on Amazon listed under "Amazon's choice". The expensive ones offer more features and better pictures. But it hurts when they get stolen, get wet and quit working, get knocked off of their mount by Deer or Hogs...

    Lapua brass

I never paid any attention until now so I went to look at my inventory. I have some 223 brass from 2008 that has Match in the headstamp but I can't find the boxes the it came in. I just bought some more a few weeks ago that was advertised as Match that does not have Match in the headstamp or on...

    2023 Projects

Join a local gun club if they have an opening. Organize the attic. We moved right at the end of Spring and it got to be too hot. Maybe build a short barrel bolt gun in 300 BO. Buy a suppressor and a mid range thermal. This will be for night time hog hunting. If prices and availability return...

    Fighting Winter Boredom ...

I got really bored the first Winter that I was retired and I learned to save up stuff to do. I do most of my brass prep during the Winter. I load most of the ammo that I plan to shoot during the coming year. I cast most of the pistol bullets that I plan to shoot during the coming year. A buddy...

Any suggestions for a good in-line muzzleloader?

I like my Knight. Savage made one that used smokeless powder for a while. I wish I had one!
