Curious….anyone say fuck it and quit?

I've said F*** It or F*** You and walked away from a couple of jobs. They were entry level deadend jobs and it was no loss. I always went to work someplace else the next day. One of these times led me to working for and retiring from an electric utility after being there for 35 years. My Wife...

I'm just dropping this here for folks who like steak...

I forgot to mention the quality of meat. My Wife often finds nice steaks at, believe it or not, Sam's Club. And the local Keoger store occasionally had nice steaks. But you have to look through what they have on display and the meat cutter will often bring some more out at her request if they...

I'm just dropping this here for folks who like steak...

I'm not the cook that some of you are, but very few restaurants can cook a better steak than I can. Some of them have different seasonings or marinades that are interesting. And its nice sometimes to have someone cook for you, serve it to you and clean up after you. Some of the better steak...

    Cartridge Display Board Ideas

A lot of Artifact hunters display their finds in a display box called a Rikers (?) box. They look pretty good and are not terribly expensive. I built a set of shelves that are about 48" X 36" that I display my collection on. I have probably 300 cartridges in my collection. Its not perfect and...

    Imperial Sizing Die Wax

I use Imperial when neck sizing. For full length sizing I prefer the Lanolin/Alcohol mixture applied with a spray bottle. I feel that I get a more consistent covering thus more consistent sizing. I'm another that uses a gallon ZipLoc bag. I'm not a OneShot/OneStuck fan. I have had stuck cases...

    Feral Dog Packs

As a retired Serviceman from an electric utility company I have encounted lots of dogs. The last time I remember a pack of them I had orders to remove the meter and service from an old farm house so it could be torn down. Torn down around here usually means that they dig a hole next to the house...

Contractor repos the shower he installed.

I retired as a Lineman for an electrical utility. I was a licensed Electrician before I started there and continued to run a sideline electrical business. I never got beat but it was tried on me a few times. One I remember was I went out after work one evening to work on an electric well. I got...

What Is Meant Exactly By, "Being Grounded" ?

Something that I should have mentioned in my previous post was that that helicopter pilots skill should have been recognized.

What Is Meant Exactly By, "Being Grounded" ?

"What does it mean to be grounded?" An example is the way an electric bulb works. One end of the element is connected to the ground, the threaded part of the lightbulb base. The other end is connected to the center part in the lightbulb base. When the bulb is energized the element glows and...

    Maggie’s Motivational Pic Thread v2.0 - - New Rules - See Post #1

This is a cool picture! It reminds me of one that I took several years ago. An AG pilot friend was spraying Cotton in the field behind my house early one foggy misty morning. I was standing head on to him when he approached my house at 150knots about 5 ft above the cotton plants. The picture...

    Gulf Storm Ida

The electric company that I retired from is probably sending people down there. Probably be there when the storm hits. Makes perfect sense............... I spent about 30 days down there when Katrina hit. Kinds mis it and kinda don't! It sounds like you guys that are there are prepared...

Could you out run the fuzz?

Wow, talk about memories! I had a '69 Goat when I was in high school. It would run the quarter in the low 14's and occasionally in the very high 13's. Fun times! Thanks for the memories. I used to out run the city police a lot. The last time I did I dropped my date off at her house about 10 pm...

    Best powders for 300 WSM?

I'm sorry that I didn't respond to this sooner. My Wife has been in the hospital. 70 grains behind a 168 Berger VLD Hunting bullet in Winchester brass runs in the 3010 FPS speed range. Thats max and over max in some books but I worked up to it carefully. No pressure signs and cases last forever.

Help with new brass in .257 Roberts cracking

Its nothing that you did. Its just Winchester brass. Their QC started getting bad back during the Obama shortages and has never gotten better. Brass from their factory ammo seems to be much better. Its a shame!!!
