    Speeding ticket question.

Hate to break your bubble, I can't count how many people I've cited with that specific unit that were pissed. You'll never see me coming until it's too late if I'm running traffic, guaranteed. A crafty officer with a radar unit, or worse a LIDAR unit makes any unit worthless. Just because your...

    Speeding ticket question.

I always ask people how much they paid and how well it worked out for them as well. LIDAR is money in heavy traffic though, practically an impossible ticket to defend in court for drivers and they have no chance seeing you when your hitting them out well over 1000 feet ahead.

    Speeding ticket question.

Something else to consider is that in most states a civil citation only requires the legal burden of a preponderance of the evidence for you to be found responsible. Think of it as a 51/49 type of standard, that's not a very high burden of proof for the state to have to prove. Also, many courts...

    Measurement question - dillon 550b

Get the strong mount, with a progressive they add a lot of rigidity to the system and flex is not a great thing with a progressive. Plus it'll allow you to use a bullet tray and whatnot, well worth it in my mind.

    Speeding ticket question.

Many states including AZ have laws strictly forbidding quotas. I would not have written this specific ticket, and I am more ticket heavy than most patrol officers in my area. My main focus is DUI and other traffic enforcement. To me the tickets are not about the money, they are meant to serve as...

    Speeding ticket question.

Maybe I'm just a dick, but I gladly comply with that request each time. Tell the person I'll be right back, go unplug the unit from my car and walk back up to the violators car and show it to them. They usually ask where the speed is and then I inform them that I had to unplug it so I could...

Reasonable accuracy expectations .223 on progressive

I load precision loads capable of sub 3/4 MOA accuracy for 223 with my Dillon 650 and did so as well with the Hornady LNL AP when I had that too. Ammo may even be capable of smaller groups consistently, but the SPR I shoot it out of averages around that 3/4 MOA mark with the occasional sub .5...

Suppressors Thunderbeast brake attach suppressor ever get stuck

OP, I have had an issue getting one stuck because I didn't degrease the threads of one of the mounts good enough before mounting it on my rifle. I simply spun it back onto the rifle giving it a good twist and then let it cool completely to the touch. Tried again and it came right off. I...

Suppressors Thunderbeast brake attach suppressor ever get stuck

Huh? The brake attach mounts up the same way every time just as a direct thread on can does. Instead of threading onto the muzzle directly, it threads onto your brake. The beauty of the brake attach is they mount up rock solid the same way every time so long as you keep the shoulder clean of any...

Upgrade ?'s: Dillon presses and drill press trimmers?

As far as necessities go: -Caliber conversion kits will need to be purchased for each caliber you have minus whichever comes with the press. You can piece together the necessary small parts to use in multiple calibers as some parts may overlap, but then you have to always reference the stupid...

Upgrade ?'s: Dillon presses and drill press trimmers?

Most ball powders meter very well, the only exception can be some of the very fine powders like AA#7. They can sometimes slip in-between the sliding powder measure plates when using the small powder bar which will bind up the machine. There are fixes / workarounds for this if you happen to...

    Help with a .260 load

Seems really slow, I'm seeing right around 2815 fps out of a 24" barrel with 43.5 gr of A4350 in my AI when pushing the 139gr Scenar. (100 degree temps). My buddy is seeing fairly similar speeds out of a 23" barrel on his rifle from PCR and the same load data. I've got them loaded a bit long as...

Upgrade ?'s: Dillon presses and drill press trimmers?

Learn something new every day, didn't think there would be a shell holder big enough for 50 BMG, I stand corrected. In that case it would most definitely be my recommendation to the OP, love Doug's machine. Thanks for pointing that out.

Upgrade ?'s: Dillon presses and drill press trimmers?

I think you got confused due to the large amount of info going around. There's absolutely nothing wrong with using the swage station on the 1050, works well when adjusted properly for your brass. It's the 650 you do not want to use the aftermarket swage on, they put more pressure on the shell...

Interesting, never really took a look at mine as I liked how it was setup from the factory. Wonder if that was intentional or if there was a mistake. Will look at mine tomorrow when I get home as now you have me curious.

There should be some longer screws if I remember correctly, they came with my rifle and the extra spacers, though I haven't used any of them.

    Suppressors Thunderbeast Suppressor Blew Up?

Since you decided to go there, I didn't realize that SureFire had released their SOCOM 338 into the wild yet... Oh wait, you're happy because you have a SOCOM 7.62 or smaller. Apples to Oranges, the blast pressures from a 30 cal can are nowhere near that of a 338, which as you get down there on...

    My AX338MC won't shoot 100 yards

Holy shit, this thread is epic. 30 posts when it's quite obvious that the factory zero stop was engaged if the mount itself was set to 0MOA. That mount is completely unnecessary with that setup though...
