    Leveling big safe

Wouldn't that leave 0 to 1/8 gaps everywhere around the safe. Also limiting how hard you can torque the anchors.

    Leveling big safe

I just want to clarify. Are you talking about making a rectangle with 4 pieces of 4x4 and empty inside, you fill that 4x4 frame with more 4x4's to make it almost completely wood underneath. The only issue with this is I don't know how to level it. I'm handy and have alot of tools for...

    Leveling big safe

I'm getting a BF7250 installed on concrete and the last thing I have to figure out is whether I should level it. It is in the corner and I am guessing for drainage reason, there is a slight angle towards the door and towards the hinge. I think if the angle was in literally the opposite...

    Drilling through back of safe

It is going to be for the pre-drilled anchor holes in an Amsec 7250 HD. I don't have it in front of me and I don't see the dimensions online. Although I do not think it matters much as the hole is at minimum 3/8 and I can use washers to account for smaller screws. I would like the hole to be...

    Drilling through back of safe

I have the foundation plans for the house but I have read enough online to know not to trust them. Luckily the place I'm placing the safe is on the other side of the wall of where the foundation ends. So I dug a foot down next to my house and using a magnet found where the Tensors are. They are...

    Drilling through back of safe

Is there any concern with guns/rifles sitting out In the safe all summer? On the one hand it gets to 120 degrees here. On the other hand, outside of a few rains, it's always relatively dry. My garage is fairly decently insulated as well, so I dont think it gets hotter than outside.

    Drilling through back of safe

I'm starting to think that I am just going to put the safe in the garage. I was mostly against it since its not in my gun room and I know the garage is the worst place. But the more I measure the more im realizing this behemoth won't won't thru doors and won't make it thru the hallways correctly...

Hiding a Safe in an exposed room

Plywood along the way, great point!

    Drilling through back of safe

You guys have alot of good points and advice. The room has sliding doors to the backyard, so welding something to make it not fit thru the doors isn't really a realistic option. I think the safe is sufficiently heavy enough (~2500 lb empty) where bolts into the stud isn't adding much theft...

Hiding a Safe in an exposed room

Ok guys, I get it. Most of you think I am overthinking the part about people seeing it haha I've got another question for you guys. The flooring in the room is travertine tiles, is that gonna be an issue? I was thinking of putting a horse stall mat under the safe to somewhat protect the tiles...

    Drilling through back of safe

My house is on a post tension slab, so I can't bolt the safe into the concrete (not safely and easily atleast). What I did to my last safe is drive 2 big bolts into the wall studs behind it. My new safe is a much more "serious" safe though, amsec 7250hd. I'm sure I can drill through the back of...

Hiding a Safe in an exposed room

Oh man, this is almost dead on to what I need! The safe is a 7250HD, so amsec makes a cloak exact fit for it. The only issue is after more reading it looks like they did a crap job with this drape and only cover the front side and not all 3 sides. Unfortunately that means my other sides will be...

Hiding a Safe in an exposed room

I am getting a very nice large safe from a business liquidation. The issue I have is that it is so big that I won't be able to get it into the nice hidden area I have now for my current safe. The only place I can get it to fit is into a corner of my man cave. The problem is the room is...

Accessories Hornady 285gr 338lm match ammo - 285 gr ELD 338 Lapua Magnum

These are not the cheaper plastic tipped rounds, but the BTHP that have been impossible to find lately (model 82306 not 82300) 4 boxes (80 rounds) of some of the best factory match ammo for the 338lm. The rounds are like new and the boxes have just a little wear from being shuffled around in my...

Rifle Scopes Different sight for an AK47

Yea, I've narrowed it down to either Midwest or AK Master Mount. Any pros/cons As for the scope itself, I will likely go with the primary arms 3x.

Rifle Scopes Different sight for an AK47

I am comfortable shooting with iron sites.....I didn't have a problem hitting the 4" gong at 100 yds at the range after sighting it in. (Which is a huge target compared to what I'm used to for bolt actions ha) We still have a fire hazard in effect here in AZ so I haven't had a chance to take it...

Rifle Scopes Different sight for an AK47

Thanks for the recommendation. I will check out Rob Ski. How is the Primary Arms stuff compared to Vortex? I have alot of respect for vortex as I have had a few of their items, but no experience with PA.

Rifle Scopes Different sight for an AK47

I finally bought my first AK (PSA ak-47 GF4) after sticking to mostly bolt actions and AR's. Any recommendation on what kind of sight and mount (AK comes with side mount ready for something like a midwest industries mount) to put on this this? Here are a few requirements: 1. I would like...

Any argument to be made for picking up a rifle in 7.62x39?

Tell me about it. I've never really been interested in AK's and stuck to bolt actions and AR's. I decided to get my first AK and turns out it's the worst time. I have been watching PSA like a hawk and was able to snag a PSA ak47 GF4 this week. Then I start looking for ammo and all the shelves...
