    It should be .01" not .02". It's all measured using the Hornady oal gauge and loosely verified with a sharpy marker and closing the bolt on a complete round. Anyways, I will check the actual COAL when I'm home, but it fits into the magazine no problem.

    Are guys really damaging throats, crowns and bores from the brass jag or COATED rod? Brass is much softer than the steel, which is why you use it in the first place, and the rod is coated specifically so it doesn't damage anything?

    What size Dewey rod are you guys using? I tried to slowly put a 308 one through and it goes in without a problem, even though 308 is bigger than 243. Should I use the 308 or 22 Cal one? They are both coated rods.

    I think most the methods will ruin the finish. But if you shoot it enough, it will almost always be black anyways, from the carbon ;)

    Use the open 'neck' of a brass case like the 45acp or a brass scraper to scrape off any cake. Then if you want it more clean, just use any carbon cleaner and a rag. Yours is far from bad though!
