    Optic for SBR 556?

I typically use 70gr TSX and trophy bonded out of this gun. Various agencies issue it under various names. USGI ammo (mk318, m855a1) is, as you say, lackluster in my experience in any barrel length, re:accuracy. A G33 magnifier and EXPS3 weigh within an ounce or two of my nx8 with an acro on...

    Optic for SBR 556?

Sure, but magnification will allow precision as well as the ability to engage partial targets more effectively, such as a foot, arm, half a face, etc sticking out from behind cover.

    Optic for SBR 556?

Doesn't seem wasted to me. KAC 11.5", 100 yards. Used an nx8 1-8.

    Night Vision Safran TAD

Also, got an update from O1. Seems they closed for end of the year holidays. So, lost some time fixing things, but should have me squared away by the end of the week.

My auto-cal would trash the image.

    Night Vision Safran TAD

O1 seems to have shut down at the end of the year for a week or two. I dunno if they do inventory or some other reason, but the automated email said Monday the 6th they'd be back at it and hoping to get my TAD back soon. Glad it's fixed!! Is the autocal fixed too? I hated how it destroyed the image.

    Best 10.3” food ?

Insane. I don't think I have anything that I'd trust to perform on that.

    Best 10.3” food ?

It will reliably perform out to at least 200 from them.

    SBR/pistol barrel length???

A properly chambered Bartlein barrel do be like that.

    SBR/pistol barrel length???

A lot of companies are FOS. That Nosler bullet likes about 2000-2100fps minimum, and the actual BC is around 0.18 G1. Companies just publish whatever they want, and people believe it until they aren't on target or are far lower than they think they should be, and bullets don't open when they...

    5.56 SBR Reloads?

My finding was that the base would exit on broadside shots, but was minimally traumatic. I also managed to catch it inside a coyote I shot in the chest. It went about 18" and stopped above the hip region just under the hide. Dollars to donuts the TSX 70gr would have exited. TSX exits are much...

    5.56 SBR Reloads?

I really like the CC's, but one thing I noticed on the deer I shot with it was that blood trail was somewhat lacking compared to 70gr TSX. At the site I shot the deer through the heart, I noted no blood. Where I similarly shot the deer with TSX, the violence of the expansion "made its juice fly...

Seriously? Beavers get that big? That said, I love my 70gr TSX's.

    SBR/pistol barrel length???

I'm guessing it depends on powder, loading, bullet weight, pressure curves, and all that jazz. Might for one specific loading.

    SBR/pistol barrel length???

Since you say "work", I presume you mean the new Federal LE stuff or the older RA556B. The RA556B is shaped similar to a dump truck, but the new federal stuff is a bit better. I average around 2660fps with it from my 11.5. However, 275 yards is pushing it, as I believe that round has a...

    SBR/pistol barrel length???

Nothing is "gassy as shit" if you're using a modern flow through suppressor, which, for health reasons as well as reliability and performance, I think are the way to go.

    5.56 SBR Reloads?

Some more time has passed, but the 62gr Controlled Chaos copper bullets (years ago they were brass), and the 70gr TSX, are my two favorites. The 62's leave my 11.5@2650fps, and the 70's at around 2550.
