    If the CLR does what the "Dip" does, then you have solubilized lead in that solution and needs to be disposed of properly. I will have to see what CLR contains to make confirm.

    I thought I read CLR is bad for SS baffles. I think I will try the rock tumbler with 1/4" media. Or maybe half inch, not sure which is commonly used for this purpose.

    I did lots of reading and research last year and settled on the Mask. No first hand experience with either since my Mask is under eforms review going on 150 days.....90 days my freaking ass. I'm dreading cleaning up, so if there is a better option with less cleanup I would consider that.

    For the longest time CMMG uppers were unavailable, now they are back order. I guess that is a step in the right direction...been wanting a dedicated 22 upper, but haven't been able to get one....and sorta lost interest in it. I'm sure if I keep reading this thread, I will get the itch again.

    No AR unless pre-ban (1994). You can get a pre-ban lower, go through the paperwork maze with the ATF to convert it to pistol. But that is too much work and going to be costly. Last I checked, pre-ban stuff is going for big $.

    Drilling out pinned muzzle device

    Do you guys have an advice on drilling out a pinned muzzle brake without damaging the barrel? I don't have a drill press, will be attempting with my hand drill. Smith wants to hose me for $100 to do it. I'll be damned! I would rather screw up my barrel and get a new one then pay that.

    I rarely use my AR, mostly bolt at 300-500 yard range. Not a fast shooter. That's why I think the Ti will be good enough for me. In the event Russia or China invades us, I may put it on my AR and melt the Ti...but it will be worth it :)

    Good price. But was asking about the titanium version that is coated black. How did you do the paperwork for it? SS makes it simpler, so paying a little extra there is worth it.
