Night Vision Thermals: The Gathering — There can be only one!

you may be right on this. I’d actually considered selling the Reap and buying both Halos. I just really prefer the controls on the Reap though now. I’m sure we are all trainable but being left handed the controls on the right work real well for me. Kind of the same as I like right bolt left...

Night Vision Thermals: The Gathering — There can be only one!

Lot of truth in Wigs last two posts. Almost sticky kind of stuff. I agree conditions would be the worst problem for the comparison unless you could find a weekend with huge weather changes and have enough people involved. In my opinion that seems to the one thing that seperates the men from the...

    Group Buys RAPTAR group buy

Too bad. All that little guys needs is an IR illuminator with some ass behind it. Well that and not needing a decoder ring to figure out how to get it set up. Guess I’ll carry on with my Luna. Thanks for the info.

    Optics Sold: Wilcox Raptar ES

I hate all of you who have the UTCxii. I had to steal from my blind aunt in the nursing home to get the PVS30. GLWS.

What is this S/ES model? Does it just have the Bluetooth and ballistic capabilities or does it have the IR illuminator too? And I mean the good one.

Night Vision Picatinny adapter to flat for external battery

How do you guys think the TNVC would work on a Reap Gen 2? I’d ideally like to run it right on top of the unit. Flashlight hold and round batteries looks like a solid option too. Thanks for the tip. Also just looked at that Anker battery and it’s supposedly 1.3 inches in diameter which is...

Night Vision Wrecked my Ranger, 2x SkeetIRx, and UTC-Xii tonight!

I would have started the canonization proceedings on your behalf as I feel you have created at least three miracles in the NV/Thermal world. God bless you for living or we might not all get to know what is even remotely possibly in non .mil world. maybe one day we might meet. And I can see...

Night Vision Picatinny adapter to flat for external battery

Thanks guys. Going to try some of these out. I have the UNV charger already. I like the round battery idea and Velcro possibilities. I have actually been trying to find a scope ring that might hold the round batteries too. Going to have to research the flashlight mount idea. Thanks for the ideas.

Night Vision Picatinny adapter to flat for external battery

I’ve considered the arca plates but unfortunately most are way beefier than I need and not flat on the bottom as I assume milled our to save weight. The TNVC rig has been an option but with the offset I don’t know it might work on the Reap gen2. Appreciate the ideas this far.

Might work but more surface area might be desirable.

Night Vision Picatinny adapter to flat for external battery

Looking for my externals to fit on a picatinny adapter or mlok setup with a flat square side large enough to use the 3M mushroom Velcro aka dual lock I think they call it. I had one that kind of worked but was for airsoft and eventually failed that I used on my Flir. So imagine a picatinny...

After some initial install problems I got mine to work and ran off a 7500 ma battery or whatever the candy bar sized one is in anker for at least 7-8 hours and maybe as much as ten or more. Fell asleep lol. Now if I could just find something with picatinny adapter to a flat plate that I can use...

Fine tuning JP SCS @bigjake, et al

Appreciate the help. Probably going to start out as Padom outlines but do you think I will finish up the heaviest spring and maybe need the third tungsten weight? I have three springs now. The 100, 105 and 110. And I guess the final answer is I’ll know when I’m there when I have four o’clock...

Found this thread and thought I should ask here rather than start a new thread. I got the JP Silent Spring Kit with H2 buffer and it came with three springs, 100-110. I’m curious as to where to start here. It will be shot on Seekins Kit 308 with 16-17 inch Bartlein with SLR gas block, JP full...
