    Cadex Chassis Ring Size Question

Hi there. I am currently building a 30 Nosler with a Long Horn TL3 action, a 1’’ wide 29’’ barrel and would like to sit it in a Cadex Field Competition chassis. I am wondering what size rings do I need to get. Scope is the 34 mm Vortex Razor Gen II. Thanks

    Loose Barrel

Hey guys, Just seeking some words of wisdom as to what might have happened and what will I do next.... I have a target action with a CBI 6.5X47 Lapua barrel which I put together myself. It has an improved barrel nut and recoil lug. I torqued the barrel in the action at 44 lbs two months ago...

Rifle Scopes Quick review of the new Vortex Razor 4.5-27x Gen II scopes/ with pics

Fair enough. Did you compared it with other high end optics side by side? Glass quality, mechanical adjustments, eye relief adjustment at higher magnification, etc.

Rifle Scopes Quick review of the new Vortex Razor 4.5-27x Gen II scopes/ with pics

Besides the pictures (which by the way are looking great) you are not giving us the claimed "review" as in the title. I just feel the post is more about the rifles "looks" and the grouping on the target. Tell us more about the scope....you know like in a review. I am sure not very much is known...

    Rifle Scopes Scope for $1000

Derrick, although I love all the features you mentioned the glass is not in the same class with the HD glass on my NF Competition. The reticle gets very large at higher magnification making it rather difficult to even spot your own shots, and the quality of the picture past x25 diminishes...

Rifle Scopes Funds to buy New Scope

I haven't looked through any of the two scopes in person but all I can tell you is that the ATACR is one of the only three NF scopes which use the HD glass which is outstanding. I own a NF Competition scope which uses the same glass and all my shooting buddies shooting NXS's concede to the fact...

    Rifle Scopes Scope for $1000

Got the new XTR 8-40X50 to the range today and tried it at different distances and magnification powers (didn't install it on a rifle yet). Well, I am totally not sure if I should keep this scope or send it back. The glass is ok but not too sharp/clear at higher magnification (the downfall was...

    Rifle Scopes Scope for $1000

Good insight. Thank you. I will definetelly look into the Sightron you mentioned. Are there any other decent option with magnificaiton not lower than 32?

    Rifle Scopes Scope for $1000

Where is a good place to turn for 34 mm rings decent quality without breaking the bank? It is between the Sightron SSIII 10-50X60 and the Burris XTR II 8-40X50 I think. For some reason the Sightron does not look so "tactically" if that makes sense. More of a benchrest scope to me. I like a lot...

    Rifle Scopes Scope for $1000

I know that perhaps this question has been asked many a times...but here it goes again. I have a $1000 budget to spend on a tactical scope. It will sit on a .308 single shot target rifle with a Shilen bull barrel and a McMillan A4 stock. I will shoot the rifle anywhere from 100 to 1000 yards...

    Stock Modification Question

Thank you for that input. I am pretty good with tools and handy work. Is there a video I can watch that you are aware of? Any instructions of some sort? Also, if a gunsmith would perform this transformation, what would something like this cost? Appreciated it.

    Stock Modification Question

I have a Bell @ Carlson Medalist stock for a Target Action single shoot (4.40" screw spacing) which I am mounting on my 6.5X47 Lapua. This stock I could get to fit my platfrom, was one with a blind magazine. My question is, if in the future I want to use this stock for a different action (a...
