    No idea where I heard it, so I might be full of shit, but I have in my head that the wind during the first third of the distance is responsible for the majority of the “wind” on the bullet. If true, the first 500 yards will be pretty useful. Or I’m full of it...

    CA or Seekins 6.5 PRC

    I’m really happy with my CA MPR in 6.5 PRC. Have ~500 rounds on it and and it hammers with factory 147 ELD match. Took a nice buck with it this year at 420 yards and will use it again next season.

    The DMR II Pro is an awesome value at “street prices”. I’ve had one for a while on my 6.5 PRC and have about 400 rounds on it. Good adjustments, tracks well, good glass, easy zero mechanism, etc. It’s just a great scope. Haven’t done any shooting inside 100 yards, but just looking through it...
