This thread is a year old dumpster fire. If you read the MPR thread, you'll see there is lots to like about the MPR and Christensen Arms' customer services is great.
The MPR has lots of things going for it. A super slick action is not one of them. Mine was rough out of the box, but certainly not the worst I’ve felt.
I have about 300 rounds on mine and about as many dry fires/cycles and it’s smoothed out a bit. But it’s still “loose”.
From the link, their warranty does not cover:
Damage, defects, or failures resulting from use that would be construed by any reasonable person as normal and expected “wear and tear.”
They are 416R stainless. Just like Proof and many other manufacturers.
My question was genuine. I don’t know how you think these barrels will behave differently (or why).
Yes and it’s based on common sense. How do you think these barrels might “hold up” differently than other barrels? They’re premium button rifled barrels. Don’t worry about it.
There is no issue with the hand guard touching the barrel. Yes, I’ve attached M-lok attachments to the forend. I added a QD sling mount and arca plate and there it plenty of room between the hardware and the barrel.
This is an old thread... but since it’s been bumped, I recently got some barrels from Gradous and turn around was a matter of days. So if you want a masterpiece in weeks rather than months, now would be a good time.
