    About to get banned off the S&W forum

    I got a warning for asking a question about a gun that was for sale on gunbroker. I was told that I could not advertise for them...which is not at all what I was doing. I have not been back. They can keep it....I will find smith info elsewhere when I need it.

    My uncle gave me a pistol from his deceased father...

    I have seen guns that the trigger and hammer would operate with the safety on ...but the safety would block the hammer from hitting the firing pin. If I remember correctly the walther p22 is like this. You might take it to the range and see if it fires on safety.

    Preferably you want whatever is closest to your main centerfire rifle. I assume you are using the rimfire to train...and if that is the case then I would buy an identical scope if at all possible to your centerfire rifle.

    Leupolds don't give up anything to the badger rings. I have owned both and now only have mark 4's. In my opinion they are nicer cosmetically.
