As some of you know I started making a stock.. Its been a few months now and I finally got the time to revisit the idea but have run into a road block. The previous plans for in-letting have fallen through so I was wondering if my plan B idea even has a possibility of working. Here is the...

Hunting & Fishing Would this bow work for me?

Re: Would this bow work for me? I shoot JOAD, which is Junior Olympic Archery Development, and most of the time people winning shoots have hoyts. If I were you I'd go to archerytalk.com and look around in the for sale section for something like an Alphamax. I shoot a Martin Pantera and...

    First OCW test. Advice?

Re: First OCW test. Advice? To my untrained eyes I don't really see a difference with the norma brass at the bottom of this thread. What exactly am I looking for to see this? http://www.snipershide.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2204302#Post2204302

    First OCW test. Advice?

Re: First OCW test. Advice? Ok thanks for the help guys! I'll do another test with some larger charges. I was completely ignoring the vertical spread, it was a windy day and vertical has nothing to do with my OCW. But what is the first pressure sign that usually arises with the varget...

    22/45

Re: 22/45 Love mine! Sold the 9mm just to buy this one. Was looking at the C-more sights next. The one on it now is a little bulky. I HIGHLY recommend this holster too. Works with or without a sight.. http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=429568

    First OCW test. Advice?

Gunsmithing And so it begins [stock making]

Re: And so it begins [stock making] Yea I've learn so far from this experience three things. 1) You don't need big fancy equipment, but it makes it a hell of a lot easier. 2) That making a stock is hard. and finally 3) Chad Dixon is the man... hands down.

Re: And so it begins [stock making] Thanks Chad. Got the rasp today; worked like a charm! Will post a picture when I have time (probably later tonight). The front end doesn't stick out as much as it looks from the shadowing of the picture. I did a lot of work on rounding the edges and...

Gunsmithing And so it begins [stock making]

Re: And so it begins [stock making] Thanks guys! All I did today was sand down the rough edges on the profile view. I don't want to start sanding down the sides until I get the action bedded so I can see where I will be positioned behind the scope. It looks almost the same, so pictures are...

Gunsmithing And so it begins [stock making]

Well as some of you know this 16 year wanted to build his own rifle stock.. So I thought if I started a post I'd have to finish building this thing. As the title suggests this is only the beginning, and I will periodically post some more pictures as I complete things. Started off on paper a...
