Understood. I was stating what I did, not saying they were necessary modifications. On the contrary, while the battle ax stock looks ugly as hell, it feels pretty good.
Corey4 just wondering where around Pittsburgh you were. I'm close to the 79 279 split and have been the that new Field and Stream quite a few times the last couple days.
Picked up a Troy Defense Carbine the other day for $1170 out the door. Love it so far.
I did however replace the trigger, stock and grip straight out of the box.
Filed an IC3 complaint.
Switchblade thank you!
And Jeo556 not a whole lot new besides this escapade. Treatment is sadly disappointing. Instead of people being responsible for their actions the military is adopting the "trophy for everyone" and "mass punishment" mentalities.

Due to other business I didn't have time to call his local PD yesterday, but I'll do that tonight.
Just to add.. He was shipping out of an FFL local to him, and I just got off the phone with the owner of that shop and he said he hadn't sent anything to San Antonio with in the past 6 months.
Hey guys,
Currently stationed at Ft. Sam Houston until the end of August.
Was going to purchase a DDM4V7 from a post on armslist. Came to an agreement with the guy (from Davenport IA) and mailed him the MO. As soon as he received the Mo( 5-21-2013) the emails stopped. Then again, after...
1. I don't think you'll have much of a problem with the non-matching turrets, as they are covered and it's doubtful you'll be adjusting them besides zeroing (correct me if I'm wrong assuming your intentions)
2. Depending on how far your average shots are, you could run into a problem. Seeing as...
They're worth it. While others may say they prefer other triggers (personal preference), you'll be hard pressed to find one more reliable.
Love my SSA and SD-C
Thermopak 3L is what I was issued at basic. So it may have been just used for a few weeks while someone was at basic and cleaned every night as we were required to.
Soap and warm water if you plan on using it again shortly after or bleach and water for when you're going to store it.
