    In my 6.5WSM i have shot several whitetails between 150 and 370 yards with the Nosler 120g Ballistic tip, all dropped where shot.

    I have one built on a mauser 98 in a fajen stock with a 26" barrel. I havent shot a deer with it yet but I just love shooting it. it shoots 115g bergers into half moa at 2930 fps.

    cva accura v2 is what i use, unbelievable accuracy with 3 777 pellets and 295 grain power belt areo tips. usually under 1 inch at a hundred but i have put 3 shots touching on a good day more than once

    The only bullet I've used in 6.5 is the 120 Nosler ballistic tip in my 6.5 wsm, I'm not pushing it to the max, I'm only pushing it to 3160 fps. I've shot 3 Michigan whitetails that all were drt. Ranges were 165 to 370 yards.

    I buy 99% of my plinking ammo from freedommunitions.com. ive used their 9mm, 38 special, 45acp, and .223. it has all worked well, you never know what brass youll get. sometimes mixed headstamp, some times all the same. I've gotten some 223 all lake city brass, some 45 all nickel.

    I have a 340sc and yes it stings a bit with 357 loads, its actualy not bad at all with 38 loads.

    in my 6.5WSM I use 120 nosler BT@ 3150 fps. ive shot 4 deer with it and they all dropped where they stood. ranges were from 160 to 370 yards. now in my 8mm06 the 180 BT @ 2850 fps didn't work as well, could be that the shot was only 35 yards but it blew up and the 140 ish lb buck went 250 yards...

    I use freedommunitions.com for most of my plinking ammo, I've never had a problem with them or their ammo. I usually order when they ae having free shipping specials. they can be a bit slow in shipping so not a good choice if you need it quickly. I haven't used any of there hunting type ammo...

    check out 460rowland.com. I'd be a little leary about using a re chambered 45acp barrel, id much rather use a barrel designed for the 460 rowland. I'm planning a conversion on a xd in the near future.
