    Tikka T3 Thread

This must be a new thing then, on the 3 B&C stocks I’ve had for tikkas the recoil lug was part of the aluminum block

    **SPF WTS Remington SPS 243

Remington 700 SPS 243, this is almost LNIB, unfired to my knowledge. I bought It as a display model so it has a few handling marks but no significant blemishes. I have removed it from the stock, cleaned and oiled it, patched out the bore, dabbed grease on the lugs, cycled the bolt and dry fired...

***sold***WTS McMillan Gamehunter Tikka T3x CTR

Sale is for the McMillan stock only guys, last pic is just there to show you what it looks like with a CTR I don’t have a scale here that will register low enough, but I think it’s 2# or less. McMillan says 26-30oz

***sold***WTS McMillan Gamehunter Tikka T3x CTR

McMillan gamehunter stock for Tikka CTR, factory dbm inlet, carbon fill, freshly painted OD green. I bought this stock a little over a year ago as game hunter for t3 ctr. When I purchased it from McMillan I didn’t realize that the T3x requires a slightly different inlet than the older T3...

Hunting & Fishing savage 110 predator too heavy for hunting? and other rambling

Heres my 2 cents.. I’ll basically echo what 45.308 said above, sounds like good advice to me. Skip the savage and 6-24 optic. And there’s nothing wrong with keeping what you have and spending money on hunting instead of acquiring new rifles. The savage model 10 predator is heavy...

***Sold ***6.5 Grendel barrel, ammo, handloading package

Hunting & Fishing Hunting rifle weight?

Always amusing to read these threads here, I’m surprised there was only one reply saying a guy’s a puss if he doesn’t want to tote a 15# rifle up a mountain. I like tikka t3 lites, with Leupolds that end up at a less than 7.5# all up, or a little over 8# with suppressor. I have a tikka ctr with...

***Sold ***6.5 Grendel barrel, ammo, handloading package

I’ll sell the barrel, has tube, BCG and mag as a separate package for $440 shipped CONUS If the barrel package sells I’ll price ammo and reloading supplies

***Sold ***6.5 Grendel barrel, ammo, handloading package

I’d consider splitting it up if I have buyers committed for all items, including BCG, mag and dies. I don’t want to let this barrel go and be stuck with ammo or reloading gear I won’t need. PM me for pricing if interested

***Sold ***6.5 Grendel barrel, ammo, handloading package

WTS a barrel, bcg, ammo and hand loading supplies for a 16” suppressed 6.5G build here. This barrel was ordered with intermediate gas length, which is longer than mid but shorter than rifle, and should run well suppressed. Everything is brand new. Right now I’m listing it as a complete...

Hunting & Fishing Need a new hunting rifle

I agree with Stooxie and Xtremehunter, the tikka lite dbm is very functional and all I’d imagine a guy needs for most hunting applications. If the plastic doesn’t feel substantial enough, the MT upgraded metal with the plastic mags would be good also. I have a CTR and like it, but for mountain...

Grayboe Stocks from Red Hawk Rifles

Of course RHR is legit, they are listed as an approved dealer on Grayboes website. They’ve been one of the best places online to buy rifle parts and accessories for years.

    Best 223 bolt

With those parameters I’d say Tikka Varmint hands down Other than that there’s a few flavors of Remington 700 with 9 twist barrels, I’d look at the stainless 5rs for a heavy hunting rig. Also howa makes a varmint in 223 and are said to typically be shooters. There may be a Bergara that fits...

    Tikka T3 Thread

Guess we should’ve asked this question up front. If you’re just shooting factory ammo a standard 14 twist 22-250 should handle most 50-55grain factory ammo just fine. You can’t take advantage of heavier bullets in this chambering without handloading anyway, so the 8 twist vs 14 twist debate is...

    Tikka T3 Thread

I had a 14 twist tikka lite briefly, it shot Hornady 55 Vmax factory ammo well. I’m sure 50 grain vmax or 55 soft points would’ve worked also. Is this just a hunting rifle? Colony varmints or coyotes? Are you going to hand load or shoot factory ammo? Factory ammo is pretty much all 50-55...

    Tikka T3 Thread

If you’re only going to shoot short 55s, and never want to try heavier or lead free hunting bullets (Barnes) then the slow (14) twist would work. That said I would get the 8 twist anyway. It should shoot the lighter bullets just fine, and gives you the option to shoot heavier bullets as well...
