Atlas or Harris bipods... And why

Re: Atlas or Harris bipods... And why For speed, I like the Harris 6-9, notched, with a KMW Pod Loc. I have two atlas bipods, and they are very well made, but I prefer my Harris for competition shooting strictly for the speed.

223/223AI best powder, (almost) 2013 edition

Re: 223/223AI bestpowder choice, (almost) 2013 edition Tough to beat 8208 for velocity, temp stability, and easy metering. It's magical. Varget is a close second, and I have a bunch of TAC for "just in case".

    Roberts Precision Rifle Custom Gun

Re: Roberts Precision Rifle Custom Gun Here is how the .223 that he built for me, on a Brux barrel and Stiller action, shoots with 82 Bergers at 2900. That's three shots...I have no pictures of the 5 shot groups. Here is how the .260 that Aaron built shoots with 140 amaxes on a Rock...

What reloading accessories make life easier

Re: What reloading accessories make life easier Gen 2 Prometheus Giraud Trimmer Forster Co-Ax Good Dies (Forster or Redding) RCBS Hand Primer I use the above for everything, and my Dillon 550b has been used exactly once in the 2 years that I've owned it. I can reload fast enough using the...

    Roberts Precision Rifle Custom Gun

Re: Roberts Precision Rifle Custom Gun I saw that rifle in the RP Rifles shop, and it looks even better in person. It also shoots lights out, though I wouldn't expect anything else. Aaron builds a lot of great rifles, and everyone that I have from him is an absolute hammer. I like that he...

    6x45

Re: 6x45 As an update, the barrel is here, a Benchmark 5R 1-8 twist in RV contour. The Stiller action is also here, along with the Manners T4. At this point, we are waiting on the reamer. I'm hoping to have this ready to rock and roll for my first match of the 2013 PRS season in March. I'm...

    IMR 8208 Powder

Re: IMR 8208 Powder I shoot quite a bit of this powder, and it is my favorite by far. Very temperature insensitive, I get excellent velocity, and it meters really well. I love it for .223 with heavies and .308 with 155's.

    Gunsmithing PTG DBM problem

Re: PTG DBM problem I run the PTG bottom metal in 3 rifles, one of them being a .223, and it feeds and functions perfectly. I've put a hell of a lot of rounds through the .223 this year, and it's works wonderfully.

    RE-LOADING Match AMMO

Re: RE-LOADING Match AMMO Tate - Get a good press (I like forster co-ax, but it really matters little), get good dies (forster or redding), get a charge master for stick powder or throw a ball powder from a Redding BR3, get a decent scale, and load from there. You don't need to do much...

Giraud - Time it takes for Caliber conversions?

Re: Giraud - Time it takes for Caliber conversions? Assuming you don't have things pre-headspaced, it should take no longer than 5 minutes once you get the hang of it...to include witching case holder and cutting head.
