One rifle and only one rifle

Blaser LRS2/Tac2 or a DTA SRS. LRS-2 would be my choice, but... That is why I bought one. You only said one rifle, no limit on barrels.

    Blaser LRS2 Ring Height Question

Hello folks, So I am getting ready to go pick up my LRS2 in 6.5x55 sometime next week, and have started ordering bits and pieces for it in hopes to have everything ready for the day I receive the rifle. Currently I have a 20moa Picatinny rail saddle and Steiner 3-12x56mm scope on hand. I...

Rifle Scopes steiner elevation knob Problem? (binding)

I just received my Steiner 3-12x56 from a hide member today in post. I have been nothing but flat out impressed with it. Pulled the turrets off, had a look on how everything worked and adjusted, and put them back on, hash marks line up right if you do it right and turrets are smooth with crisp...

    Rimfire Rifle Photos Thread

It shoots very well actually. So much, that I prefer to play around with my Savage more than my 40xb. There isn't much of an accuracy difference between the two, but the Savage is immensely lighter and more of a joy to go out to a P-Dog field with. If I can find some ammo here soon I can get...

    Rimfire Rifle Photos Thread

Savage action, Green Mountain taper fluted barrel, rechambered with a match reamer, threaded the muzzle, bedded it in a Boyds, 20moa rail, made a thicker steel bottom metal piece, 16x Mil/Mil SWFA, and did trigger job on it. I need to sandblast it down and reblue it again, but that will have to...

    Red Jacket ZK-22 Bull Pup

Pre ordered and still delayed arrival, and then it didn't even fit with out quite a bit of work when it arrived? Doesn't even have to be made by Red Jacket to talk bad about it after that.

    long range .22 lr

I tried to explain this to my instructor in the CST gunsmithing school after he told us that the reason for bullets to rise and dip in a scope is because they are not at their maximum velocity yet upon exiting the barrel and actually pick up speed and rise. His solution was to get in my face and...

    Dragunov....with a twist.

I know the .308 NDM's are tack drivers with match ammo, I wonder what sealing the gas port and making it a straight pull bolt action does for the accuracy of the rifle. At least you don't have to worry about the free floated firing pin and match primers like this, still a shame you guy over...

    Lets see those tactical 22s!

I've already shared my opinion, so I don't have anymore to say about it, but I see no reason why anyone else shouldn't be allowed to talk negatively on it if they want. I see no issue with sharing honest opinions over something, good or bad. What's the point of a discussion forum if you only...

    Lets see those tactical 22s!

No, I understand. I don't disagree on the fact that they do have a place in training, but only when they function the same as what they are replicating. The GSG, Colt, 416-22, etc all do just that. They load from magazines that replicate the larger counter parts, magazines fit where the larger...

    Lets see those tactical 22s!

I don't know where you got the fact that was directed against you...? I was referring to the uselessness of the airsoft .22's, which have none of the same features as to what they look like, unlike the GSG5, Sig522, 416-22, etc. Congrats on not getting that though.
  12. Wonko_The_Sane

    Lets see those tactical 22s!

Yea, but they could be used for "training" to familiarize yourself with the real ones, well, minus the fact that they don't load from the same magazines as the real ones, or have charging handles that function like the real one... or safeties switches that are in the same place as the real...

Are Air rifles the pacifier or alternative to ammo availability & cost?

I've given up on questioning custom wood stock designing for air rifles. For some reason they all seem to go for a space look or the hull of a schooner with all of their curves and bends.

Are Air rifles the pacifier or alternative to ammo availability & cost?

There is still just as many who can afford it though? Hell, many people on this forum have more tied up in just a scope for their rifle. There currently is a ~6 month wait time on a Edgun R3 from all of the orders.

Are Air rifles the pacifier or alternative to ammo availability & cost?

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Edgun R3 Matador Rifles or the Kalibr Cricket's. Both are .25 cal, PCP, +40ft-lb of energy, and are capable of 1 moa groups at 100 yards. 1600$ for the Cricket, and 2500$ for a Edgun though. Cricket Edgun

    40x value

This thread is titled "40x Value", I was simply asking what the value of my rifle could be. That was not a "Who wants to by my rifle!?!" post..

    40x value

Bringing this old thread back up. I have been thinking about selling my 40xb, but not sure where to start with a price, so, what would I ask for something like this? Numbers match, stock is in fantastic shape, and has a Redfield International site and globe front site to go with it. Not the...

    40x value

Re: 40x value Muzzle isn't <span style="font-style: italic">as</span> discolored as it looks in the picture from the flash, but after looking over it again I can see it does have a slightly different shade I'm guessing from cold blue. I'm curious now if the muzzle has been choked back to be...

    40x value

Re: 40x value Hmm interesting then. I can't complain for the price I got it at, and the groups it prints. At least I won't fill bad about chucking it up in the lathe and threading the barrel now.

    40x value

Re: 40x value This one is a B. Being a rifle ordered from a customer straight form the Remington custom shop, I always just figured he ordered it to the length he wanted instead of having it cut down by a shop later on in ownership of it.
