    1st round flyer, what is going on?

    Carbon Six barrels?

    Are Tikka shoulderless barrels and Ruger Americans the same? I have seen the barrel nuts advertised to fit both. I'd assume the bolt is different thus having a different barrel setup even though the action threads are the same size.

    Do you only wrap Mcgowen barrels? I was about to order one on the sale, and then saw they use Mcgowen barrels. After 3 Mcgowen barrels where 2 are junk and have to be replaced and the 3rd is marginal at best.... I'll never use Mcgowen again!

    That is a really good deal. However I wanted a lighter contour. I am building more of a hunting rifle in a Grayboe stock. I believe the heaviest contour recommended is a #5. Can McRee or someone else easily re-contour the barrel to a lighter profile?

    I get the fact that the shank is smaller so less wall thickness, and it could potentially create a weakness. However, it seems contradictory when you will chamber a long action magnum. Why is a long action magnum okay on a remage setup, but not a short action magnum?????

    Looking for a new Remage style barrel for a remington 700. Who all makes them? I wanted to get a criterion but they refuse to chamber short action magnums. I believe pac-nor makes them as well as patriot valley. Any other options out there I should be looking at?

    I typed it wrong, but the bullet is seated .040" of the lands with factory ammo. I measured and verified several times. Also had a gunsmith measure and verify.

    The COAL of the chamber is 2.990, the factory ammo is 2.950. Thus I'm .040" off the lands.
