The perfect storm may be about to start

It's a tough time to be in Oil & Gas... the company I work for has a heavy presence there, in fact, I was a product engineer out of college in that group. This industry will rebound as quickly as it dropped. When this quarantine is over, people are going to want to get out, drive, fly, travel...

    Dirt/dual-sport/enduro motorcycle question

If you're riding dirt logging roads (some double track I would assume), single track, and very little roads, and don't plan on straying much from home (no overnighting), I would be in the 450-500 range, not bigger. I had a Husky TE510 for a few years. It was about as much fun as you could have...

    Cerakote question

Acetone is fine for a lot of plastics... notice it comes in a plastic bottle... just gotta be careful and do a test spot first. I've wiped many a Pmag with acetone with no ill effect.

    Cerakote question

Do NOT blast it... there's no need, and too much risk. I hit mine with steel wool or grey scotch-brite, then thoroughly clean it with acetone (test it somewhere not visible first, not all plastics are acetone compatible). I don't soak, just wipe, and it's held up well so far. Honestly...

    Can you food saver ammo

If it's crimped and lacquered, the vacuum sealing would be external only since the case is sealed. Standard/commercial ammo wouldn't be the same.

    Can you food saver ammo

Do you have experience doing this, or are you just guessing? Desiccant in a vacuum sealed bag is kind of pointless... there's little to no moisture in there if it's under vacuum. Also, due to the silica being porous, it would create a volume under vacuum, which would accelerate/continue to draw...

    Can you food saver ammo

That's a great test. I'd be very interested in the results too.

    Quarantined until June 10

It's John Goodman. From The Big Lebowski. Actually a good movie. I didn't think Centy had any good taste, but he's Christian, and likes The Big Lebowski, sooooo, as long as he isn't touching little boys, he's not entirely bad...

    Can you food saver ammo

I really don't have an answer to the OP's question, but is anyone in here a chemist? Does gunpowder offgas? Putting things under vacuum can have negative effects. Just try food saving green beans if you don't believe me... they come out mushy and flavorless as can be (turns out you have to...

    Quarantined until June 10

You're as entitled to your opinion as I am mine. I've been home for 2 weeks. Eat a dick. I'm not saying the virus isn't real, and that it's not killing people. However, I have offered a solution that has worked for the flu for the past 100 years. Protect those at the highest risk, and continue...

    Quarantined until June 10

Who said anything about the government? When will sheeple figure out that its the CDC and WHO and FDA who fucked this up from the get go? Let the private sector offer their products and services, with no BS liability limitations/indemnity. If they hurt/kill someone, they're liable via a court...

    Quarantined until June 10

More like, those too fucking scared of everything to allow others to go to work (all the sheeple constantly posting "stay home") will have to eat a dick when those who are shown immune want to go do what they need to/want to. Fuck, plenty of people have already had the virus, recovered, and are...

    Quarantined until June 10

I have a pretty sure feeling that the quarantines will be dependent upon the number of cases nearby and the population. NYC will be on quarantine first, and possibly longest due to the number of people. Once they have a test that shows who's immune, we might all be able to get back to work...

    6mm Grendel help

I'm with the guys above. Pick a bullet you want to use, and do a legit OCW test. Personally, I do that at MAX increments of 1% of the charge weight (so for a 20-30gr charge, 0.2gr increments). I've been using IMR 4895 (only in a week of loading thus far, but already found a good node in my...

    RCBS Chargemaster Lite First Impressions

I have the 1500 as well. I use the MKM inserts (there are 2 of them). With the smallest orifice in for large stick powders it works great, probably a 2-3% overcharge rate. I do get the strange, 1% under throw as well (something in the programming must be slightly wonky)... it's NBD, you just hit...

Accessories CLOSED OUT - SEE “MY MEGA SPRING CLEAR OUT SALE 2.0” FOR NEW ITEMS

If the charging handles are still available, I'll take the black one. I see the post above saying he'll take them. If he backs out or doesn't get back to you, let me know. Need one for a 300BO build.

    New 6mm Advanced Rifle Cartridge

I just loaded a couple dozen rounds of 6mm Pred. 85gr SGK over 28gr of IMR4895 at 2.150" OAL (worried about a long jump on this one, bullets are pretty short, and to get them seated enough, end up with a long jump to the lands) 100gr Sierra Spitzers (all I could find) over the same load. These...

The Pork in the Wuhan Virus Bill

That's over $1.6B in pork... not chump change... That said, if they really give every American $1K (IDK who qualifies, is it any taxpayer? Head of household? Everyone?), it's a drop in the ~$350B bucket...

The Pork in the Wuhan Virus Bill

Agreed. I want to see what's in the final bill. The whole thing shouldn't have been approved, but I'll gladly take a fraction of my taxes back from these MFers. I just wish you actually had to pay taxes in the first place to get a stimulus check back...
