Right now 6920's can be had mid/high 8's. Half of $1700 is $850 so there you go.... He'll PSA sold some for memorial day sale for like $699. They have the CSR at that price now but Colt AR's and all AR's are getting cheaper by the week
I put some rounds down on mine today and didn't have a single issue. Put out around 100 rounds mostly loads using 69SMK's and some unknown named brass from midway(unknown to me anyway). Shot 1/2-3/4" and functioned perfect. I had my carbine with me and some Fed whatever the hell the stuff...
I know its hard to have a 308 that doesn't shoot but figured I would see where everyone else is at. Mine is mostly stock with just an Gisselle trigger. My pet load that normally does 1/2-3/4 in almost all 308 I have put it in. The 901 is around 2-3" currently. I am going to clean it again...
I understand that about the wylde chamber. The problem is its still not a full spec 556 chamber and you will run into problems putting some 5.56 ammo in them. Its a bit on the tighter side of the 556.
Broke- the OP stated he is running fed 5.56. That ditches the reload problems/solutions. Pretty sure mine has 223 stamped on the barrel. Match chamber and 556 spec ammo may not play well together.
I think they have been kicking around the gear section here from $750-$900. There are some great deals on used MK-4's that pop up now and then and sometimes even the $800-$900 ones listed stay listed a bit.
You will probably be sending it in to Breckenridge TX where they are built. I was sent one of these through work and its a nice gun and is a super deal for the price I paid. Went to my FFL last night to pick up a rifle I ordered and he had a second box for me. Was a nice surprise to get a...
RatWorx had LE901 Colt 308's for $1999 the other day. I bet they still have them. When my FFL got mine he called around all the distributers and he couldn't even touch them wholesale for what Ratworx is selling them for.
We tried starting with a cricket but she couldn't get the hang of it because the LOP/stock/etc setup wasn't working for her. Now she has a S&W 15-22 and she is getting VERY good with it. Looking back I wish I would have done the AR type first and saved that money I spent on the cricket...
Ever try to put a hard case in a Jeep Wrangler? I like to go to the range in my jeep, I use the hardcases when I go in my truck but they do not work well at all in a Wrangler.
Gotten some pretty good ideas off this thread. Will have to give the Triad a try
I currently have one of these. Its what I was calling cool but complicated for a gun case as you have to unfold it. I just want to stuff and go. The First reply pretty much covered what I was looking for. I don't care for anything but a soft case. I have looked at the drag bags and I...
My 300WM seems to have gotten a little longer than I thought it would be. Anyhow it comes in a cunt hair over 50" at like 50.5-50.75". I have a nice shooting mag/gun case thing my wife got me for X-mas (She paid something like $250-$300 from one of the vendors here for it). Its cool but to...
+1 on the studs. I don't have the means to make my own so I buy them from brownells. I have a set for the Win 70 and R700.
INLETTING GUIDE SCREWS | Brownells
I have the same problem with my Stiller Tac-300 action and AICS 300WM modified to feed the 280AI. It doesn't happen all the time but it does. The only time I have been able to replicate it is when I would apply a little pressure to the magazine and work the bolt.
A couple of things I have learned/adapted to..
After priming I put my cases in the tray upside down until I drop a charge into them. This eliminates 2 things. The first is I used to have my head up my ass and dropped a couple primers upside down (You know a firing pin will set them off?). The...
I have a 308 (175SMK) and 300WM (190BVLD) that I shoot a lot. Anyhow I picked up a older 30-06 match type rifle that I would like to stretch out and see how she shoots. It has a 11 twist barrel so I am leaning towards 175SMK's. Any thoughts on this? I thought about dropping it off and...
Looks like a Cabelas Exclusive gun. Trade would be an AR15 built on PSA parts ($400 complete upper, $100 Lower build kit, $85 lower, $71 DD rear sight) Gun includes a Leup Rifleman 3-9x40. Prolly do the deal and see how it looks.
I have been offered a T3 that is stainless fluted in trade and it looks interesting. Anyone actually put rounds down range with one with any decent results? Caliber is 270 and looking at the specs it weighs in at 6#'s which seems pretty light.
My first build was an ER shaw 7mm barrel, I have learned a ton since then. It shot well enough but getting into Krieger, Benchmark (recent), and Rocks I wont ever look back.
